I'm going to find those old books I read as a child...but I assume they've been altered into history as well

This was my thought as well. Know for certain that my mother kept all of my books from my childhood.
Think that before I go digging for them, I'm going to ask her to spell their name for me -- if she remembers it with an "stain" then I am just going to presume it's because those books were from when I was still learning and just never caught the discrepancy between what I thought and what was there. The Bears were like...pre-school level books right?
Lol your avatar pic of the Succubus made me laugh
It's not a succubus actually.
The image is a sort of re-imagining of a rather important piece of Hindu art/literature:

The scene is part of a story where the Gods are faced with a demon none of them can kill, so they rely upon the Goddess to solve the issue, and she releases her most terrible aspect of Kali who falls into a sort of bloodlust after killing the enemy.
In order to solve the issue, Shiva, her consort, lays down in the middle of the battlefield and Kali accidentally begins to trample him in her chaotic dance, which ultimately wakens her.
In Tantric traditions, the concept draws upon the sexual energies that are considered to catapult adherents into awakening by violating religious norms of sanctity around things like sexuality and the consumption of intoxicating substances.

There can also be interpretations of the artwork as also representing the Shiva/Shakti connection in Hindu spiritual traditions. In such traditions, Shiva is considered to represent the static, the stable, the unmoving, the tangible sides of reality, while Shakti serves as the divine animating energy behind all existence -- since the two are inextricably linked, the idea can be visualized as a sexual embrace. I also like that the pair are portrayed as opposing colours linked in oneness similar to Yin/Yang from Daoism. So, unlike a Succubus, Kali is sharing power with Shiva rather than draining it from him -- he just happens to be in the yogic position of Shavasana, the corpse pose.

I just meant that a kids book is how we find out about the switching of the timelines
something so subtle.

Perhaps it was intentional. They needed something small so that it would ease the idea into our heads rather than a huge occurrence that would likely drive most of us insane. It's perfect really, through a harmless children's book.

thats what I was thinking. Like a really subtle way to teach us that time is subjective, or...you know whatever we can deduce from this. While putting the hint as a metaphor...childrens book....(something that teaches)

They were all apparently changed. There are lots of stories online where people did just that and the old books all read stain now. Fucking bear stains are the worst! The stink lasts forever.

It was always berenstain. I called my mom and asked her to spell it and right away she spelled it berenstain. She even said "I remember thinking it was weird that they spelled it that way."
Kids just remember stein because there is no other instance of stain and they are just starting to read.

DC if you have to face years in prison, and are on the internet, doesn't that give you a chance to flee the state and avoid prison now?
