True, but this is probably my first time actually writing out the word Crayola as well. I don't write out brand names like that. I don't write "5 star" when I mean "notebook" I don't write out "duracell" when I mean "batteries" I don't write "kleenex" when I mean "tissue". In fact the only time I write stuff down by brand is things like "sharpie" instead of "permanent marker" or "ziplock" instead of "ziptop sandwich bag". Only when the generic word is substantially longer than the brand name most associated with it. When they're roughly the same size, I always revert to the generic name of the item. I even know this because I can look through my entire history of shopping lists I've made on my phone over the years.
I have no more reason to be able to spell Tonka or Crayola correctly, than I do Berenstein bears. I'm intimately familiar with all three and read them countless times because they were all big parts of my childhood. I'm not saying this is proof that it really was Berenstein. I'm simply stating a fact in relation to your post about the reason we remember it wrong is because we were kids and didn't have full developed minds. Yes the name Berenstein is longer, but the A would make it stand out more than if the argument was it used to be "Bernstein" or Berenstine". There's a whole new letter there that I swear was never there.

by the way im currently in the process of writing a book,
it takes place in a fictitious place, about how like the government wanted to try experimental testing to manipulate history, and like they decided they were going to do this by collecting every bernstein book ever made and reprinting them so that it'd say bernstain instead of bernstein, which they succeed in, all except for one book.. which laid hidden in a storage owned by max harthington.
and the book pretty much goes on about how max ends up finding the book one day while cleaning out the storage after getting evicted from his apartment, and like word gets out and the gov starts going after him to try and assassinate him and steal the book before it makes it to the public's eye. it;s pretty interesting. u should give it a read.

sorry about fucking up the time line guys, i really had to try and fix something, trust me this is a better alternative. theres a lot of other subtle differences that you will come to notice in time.
to your surroundings, possibly to yourselves. people were not born, people didn't die, entire stories of human history were diverted.
they told me not to play with time travel, they killed so many of me. but this particular incarnate seems to be doing fine for the moment. . be happy you're even here, most of the time when one of us changed the flow it SERIOUSLY FUCKS UP A LOT OF SHIT.
and as mass shift is in effect, consciousness gets transferred or deleted. count yourself lucky you weren't deleted.

That one I don't remember. I remember Jif, Skippy and Peter Pan. The last two can both suck it.

So the friend finally answered. His answer was "Bearenstein". He's not the most literate person out there. I think it's funny he says "stein" and not "stain"

I'm going to find my box of childhood books and pull out a Bernstein bears book and post a picture. I don't care how long it takes in going to find it.

It was Berenstein. Me and my cousins used to watch it on TV when we were kids and when I was a child I actually had a Computer Game CD of the BerenstEin bears.

This was my thought as well. Know for certain that my mother kept all of my books from my childhood.
Think that before I go digging for them, I'm going to ask her to spell their name for me -- if she remembers it with an "stain" then I am just going to presume it's because those books were from when I was still learning and just never caught the discrepancy between what I thought and what was there. The Bears were like...pre-school level books right?
