Okay, so I have a really weird case of the Mandela effect happening right now.
My boyfriend distinctly remembers me wearing a Michael Kors watch a few months ago while I was living in Philly. I however, have absolutely no memory of this. I insisted that this did not happen, because I never wear jewelry, and he knows that.
He insists that it DID happen, that it was a watch that I wore every day for months, and I always wore it on my way to work. He claims he is 150% sure and positive about this, and he swears he has my watch back at his place.
I have ZERO memory of ever buying a Michael Kors watch, or ever wearing a watch in recent times. And I am also completely positive about this.
Now we're scouting old pictures of me in Philadelphia, to see if there is indeed a watch on my wrist in any of the pictures. (So far we have found no photographic evidence of this.)
Wow, this is so weird, and this is really fucking with our heads now.
Watch, now he's going to go back to his place, and there's going to be no watch to be found.

Favorite quote from one of my favorite movies ever (anyone in this thread will appreciate the film too watch it asap, easily the trippiest movie ever, and i only find a handful of movies to actually be trippy, and I'm a complete film buff who can't be stumped so i know what I'm talking about).
Memento. Favorite quote: "memory isn't reliable it can change the color of what your wearing and it can change the shape of the room, police don't prosecute on memory they go off fact"
Damn, i might have to watch it now.
Seriously all "film buf"joking bullshit aside, tch this film. I

When Publisher's Clearing House showed up at your house with a giant check, who the person holding the check? If you said Ed Mcmahon you are wrong. He was never associated with them and never showed up at anyone's door with a giant check. Tom Cruise slides across the floor in his undies to Old Time Rock n Roll in Risky Business. He has a long sleeve shirt, and socks and what else? I thought sun glasses, but he doesn't have sunglasses. Every video where people parody that scene on youtube they wear sun glasses. All the TV parodies of it, ALF, the Simpsons, Scrubs, all of them have sunglasses. If he never wore sunglasses why are sunglasses the key part of the Risky Business costume? It's like the Monopoly Guy's monocle, it never existed but is the most important feature if you dressing up as him for Halloween. You are the monopoly guy because you have a monocle, you are Tom Cruise in Risky Business underwear dance because you have the sun glasses. This is all very weird. I discount 90 percent of Mandela Effects but there are some WTF ones that I can't explain.

it's all because of people misapprehending fucking memes from the goddamn reality.
people say reality is not malleable, that it is not subjective. they are wrong. this is a clear indicator of how stupid people are.

Memento was good. and done on the cheap.
true testament to film-making. plus, memory...it's fucked.
memory, pleasure, pain - prime factors in motivation...aside from "love", of course. but it's all mostly to do with Dopamine...your memory...your growth factor, inevitably...or at least necessary for it, and is indicative of some it's effects in the same area of the brain.

I bet the risky business one is because they remember the cover and that scene.
I've never seen that movie, but i know the scene your talking about and for some reason the cover sticks out like a sore thumb in my mind.

"Luke, I am your father" was apparently never said. Even James Earl Jones remembers it that way. Apparently it has always been "No, I am your father". Look it up, it's real.
And was it The Jackson 5 or The Jackson 6. Who the fuck is Randy Jackson? I call bullshit.
