i recall them at being The Berenstein bears. and we have the books in the attic. i'll dig them out later for a pic. no, the LHC didn't bitchslap us into another dimension. chances are, one of the publishers fucked up the spelling, hence some recall stein and some recall stain.

Ive looked on ebay for used books, i can only find the "Stain" version, but some of the sellers put "stein" in their ad title. So confusing!

Maybe just bad luck. Bugs could have been entertaining another shroomery member at the same time you were there. You might have even crossed paths with that other shroomery member that day.
Really though, you shouldn't reel the line in before some fish bite

I remember: stEin, not stain...
Luke, I am your father... not, No, I am your father.
If you build it, THEY will come... not If you build it, HE will come...
It was Febreeze... not Febreze! The second one doesn't even make any sense.... it's breeze, not breze...
The Ford symbol looks different...
and what about the Lord's prayer? I say this prayer quite often... The part about trespass or trespassers is now debts and debtors...
and the part about the Lion shall lay down with the lamb, is now the Wolf shall lay down with the lamb. There are countless images of the Lion and the lamb...

I've spoken to someone who until this year, no such thing as Narwhals in his existence.
Now, I'm fond of the actor George Takei and the director/film producer John Carpenter. I remember a few years back, in 2014, reading their obituaries. Now I find not only are they alive, John Carpenter is making a comic book series crossing Snake Plisskin with Kurt Russell's character in big trouble in little China.
I also remember seeing teenage mutant ninja turtles where they had beards, Shredder didn't have a face mask on, and that mecha tracked thing they all hung out in made its way underground.
Maybe we're all transients, and our timelines keep us on a world fairly similar.

This one changed back it's now we have a problem again. You can no longer find we've had a problem anywhere
I can deal with that. What I cannot deal with is the Monopoly mascot rich uncle Pennybags. That little fucking cocksucker had a monocle. No I change that, he didn't just have a monocle, he is not the monopoly guy without it. The monocle that never existed is the defining characteristic of Mr Monopoly, so much so that people who dress up as him for Halloween always add a monocle to their costume.

The non existent monocle is so attached to him that Ace Ventura asked this monocled guy if he was the monopoly guy. It must be pretty popular, the belief in a monocled monopoly guy if a joke in a hollywood movie is made about it. He is called the monopoly guy for one reason, the monocle, he doesn't even have a top hat.

Okay this is really fucking with me now... there are several cases of the Mandela Effect listed below.
One of them is Queen's "We are the champions" song. Many people remember the final lyrics being “No time for losers, ’cause we are the champions…of the world!” But apparently there is no "of the world!" WTF? I swear I have heard that song ending with "of the world" like that somewhere before.
Apparently, Darth Vader never says "Luke, I am your father," he says "No, I am your father." How can the most famous line in a movie be misheard?
Many people remember seeing a movie called "Shazam" in the 90's starring Sinbad where he plays a genie. DUDE, I DISTINCTLY REMEMBER SEEING THAT MOVIE AT MY COUSIN'S HOUSE. WHAT THE HELL MAN!?!?!?!?
