I saw this strange coloring, and i have no idea what it is. Anyone have a clue?
(It's at the bottom right)
(It's at the top left) I can't take better pictures now, so I hope this is good enough.

take this with a grain of salt…but that poly ur using is the really thick kind. i bought a whole bunch of it beginning of this summer, found a good deal for 6 lbs of it

was hard to dial in….too thick. not enough FAE, even with fan in room. might need to stuff bottom holes in particular with less poly.

the caps u have are way too small for the thickness of the stems IMO.
wait for others to comment cause i gave up after 2 weeks with that stuff. i have seen PF talk about shitty poly too, so hopefully he sees the post.
same clone with better poly

Thanks actually! I was gonna make a thread about that. How much more loose do you think might work?
But what's your opinion in the weird brown coloration on the stem?

not sure yet. u have evap lines under ur bottom holes and even some moisture on ur substrate, but ur fruits are not looking ideal. if the environment is stale, those moisture beads will stay there, but I'm not sure why ur holes aren't all condensed up.

The brown discoloration may be bacteria.
Check out this thread by Bodhi
It may also be vert, but apparently there is a lot of discussion about whether that is vert or bacteria

I apologize for deviating from your original question...but your "poly" should actually be polyester...that looks to be cotton and that is all bad... polyester is pretty water resistant, what you have stuffed in your holes looks Hella absorbant....

It is polyfill, not a cotton ball. But it is pretty course.

yeah, bacteria I think. Do some searching but afaik they are safe to eat after dehydrating. You can file a thin layer off and it looks normal again too

Didn't have a previous flush ontop of it did you? That sort of looks like a rustspore deposit (like I get from redboy's)
Needs more oxygen badly, as I'm sure you know.
--------------------
I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

Yeah, I've loosened the poly quite a bit. t's the first flush, it's strange. A few of the fruits have them, but most don't. I'd say one out of every 5 large fruits have them.
