When ever i get high that feeling goes away. Doesnt matter what im high on, as long as im high. Ive always felt like this and the first time i did a drug it felt like that empty feeling went away. Whatever was "missing" was found. Am i the only one who feels like this?

I mostly feel empty regardless of how high or sober I am. Give that bullshit a try.

yeah its something i struggle with everyday pretty much. except the last thing I knew to take that away was opiates (H) but I don't do it anymore. I just feel good when I feel good and don't when I don't

Honestly I think the best feelings in life come naturally, and drugs tend to stifle them. I used to feel that I needed drugs, but really I was trying to be something I wasn't. I wanted to feel comfortable doing things I don't really like, like being around groups of people and dealing with social situations. An important thing for me was learning to not care what others think of me, and just do the things that I like. Luckily I have people that support me even though I'm kind of an asshole, and for the hard times I just try to do right by the people who have done right by me.
Sometimes I'll be driving and listening to a good song, and I just feel great. That is better than opiates in my opinion. The euphoria without any shitty side effects or addiction. Doesn't happen all the time, I can't hold onto the feeling or it just goes away quicker, and it's not something I can get on command, but that's my life at some point you've got to just accept that getting through hard times makes the good times all the better.

Tons of people deal with that. For me, it's been lifelong. I've grown and now manage it pretty well. I became a family man for the sake of myself, and now I am one for the sake of my family. I'm unsure on the answers, and chances are so is everyone else. It's a shitty thing, but it's the truth, which can be hard.
I've learned to use the tools (the drugs) that I can when I can, without letting everything get all crazy and fucked up, and whatever that amount is, I do it about one tenth of that amount of drugs in one tenth of the amount of time, just to be safe. All drugs included. If someone told me I had to stop forever, it would be worse, so I don't subscribe to that, and just do what I feel is right, acceptable, and safe enough for me and my daughters.

I can identify with that. I don't really want to admit it, but I know what you mean.

Yeah its just like you want something and you dont know what it is, but you dont feel complete without it. A high makes that feeling complete. Sometimes i wish i was a normal person...

if u're "feeling" empty u're probably not really empty, because u can still feel..
i think what it is is u probably just dont feel happy. like something is missing in ur life, u probably need to love more n shit.

It's Jessus. U guys are missing Jessus.
Just know that you're like emo teens who cut themselves, only you use drugs. What advice would you give to someone cutting themselves?
It's angst. The sooner you learn to swim the stronger you will be. If you're weak you'll end up a burden on others which will probably make you more miserable and you'll feel empty and even more miserable.
It might not feel like it could get worse, but it can it can also get better if you exercise your willpower and determination.
