Got a culture cleaned up, taking an additional transfer to petri's from no pours to see better. If this works out should be doing my corn meal mush drops within 14 days on some Costa Rica .
Got a bunch more cultures on T2 from spores, if they clean up I'll be droppin' a bunch.

T2s already showing leap off under 24hrs.
The Costa Rica is clean, busy ass day today though of course. Either prepping tonight or tomorrow morning but should have them on plates soon.
Hope this 24 hr recovery/leap-off works for me man, LI has really been bumming me out.
Are any of these guys MS?

Nice,
Mine are taking off on the plates. Do you wait for full colonization or just partial like in the pics?

so my pan jamaica jars look off. i was able to take a closer look today. some of the jars were not fully colonized. also, i was about to chunk all of them. i opened one up to spoon out and clean the jar. it smelled like nice pan mycelia. so im going to spawn all of them and hope for the best. im assuming utter failure on those. i let most of these jars go too long by 7-14 days. so im assuming failure as well. some of the grain jars were extremely hard to break up and were overgrown. i spawned them anyway. ill pick up where this left off on the next grain prep. already have tly clone, aa plus clone and several others on cornmeal plates ready for LI. And now that time permits, ill finish this the right way by spawning at the perfect moment.
I'm also going to under cook my oat grain on the next go round. i think i overcooked the grain on the pan batch. the p. tamp batch looks awesome and is already showing sclerotia.

i just recently did a 15 minute oat boil and the jars came out great. i also did a 10 minute boil tonight. brought to a rolling boil, put timer on for 10 minutes. done. strain then load up.
im trying to find the absolute minimum prep time for grain!
i was using muda's recipe for the best results. i tried a few others and for me it was hit or miss. i also think i overcooked a few batches. but they came out good. my issue was water content. i felt the grain was a little more damp than i like, and we shall see how they work. i spawned all of the above.

That's pretty much how I've been doing mine except I boil for 10-20 minutes. Whenever I see the oats have taken up the start of the water I cut the heat. Strain and load when cold enough to handle but still wet. PC and they soak up more water and don't pop.
I love these things man, picking up 100 more lbs soon
6/8 of my plates are almost done. Gonna do some reg wedge LIs too.
