I bought a grow box about a month back and commenced fruiting about three weeks ago, there is some growth but it seems slow, should I be worried ? I am a total newb at this so I'm afraid that I've done something stupid.. I fan them 4 times a day and mist the twice a day, here is my set up and mushies:

Does the instructions say to mist and fan? Those types of domes usually dont need that much attention. might be way overwatered by now.

They say mist and fan twice a day, but do the growing shrooms look healthy?

The veil? No, you shouldn't be worried about the veil.

But does that mean I've missed the ideal chance to harvest them? Or should I wait for more to grow before I harvest ?

It hasn't even stretched yet, let alone broken, which is why it looks like a weird little skirt. You can see some veils in various stages here.

It'll start to break away like above, and then, or right before then, is the ideal time to harvest. Give it 1-2 days and you'll see it all take place.

Thanks, that was like... maybe a handful of oats, in maybe 4 handfuls of coir, in a plastic deli meat box. To fruit it I just put it on top of a spot that wasn't pinning on an already running mono. No fucks given. Just don't like wasting the stuff that gets stuck to G2G masters and the coir I set aside for top layers/casing.

Wait, it looks like they could get a lot bigger before they are ready to harvest, could end up pretty big. The cap will being to grow rounder and outwards like an umbrella before the veil breaks.
In future stick a lighter or something in the photo for scale.
You can seem some veils beginning to break here (not my pics)

you might want to read up about taking spore prints if you want to progress from the kits. Or read up about cloning the mushrooms.
