Help with fruiting my mono tub please!!!

Hello dear earthlings I have 2 monotbus that I'm trying to fruit. 1 monotbub is showing no signs of pins the other one is!
the mono tub thats showing pins I just put into fruiting so I'm not worried about it yet at least. The other mono tub though has been in fruiting for 1 week+ Am I getting overlay? I have a small fan 5 feet away from it blowing indirectly for FAE. My pollyfill is compact at the bottom loose on top. Is there something I could be doing wrong? All i can think of is that I tried to fruit my 1st mono tub too early. This set up worked wonderfully before with the last grow. any advice very appreciated!

I'm no expert at all but I think they need to be tighter on the bottom and looser on top.

I would loosen up the top holes on both monos, maybe even remove the poly from the top holes in the right tub. The one that is pinning is showing signs of low fae, skinny and tiny caps. You could have fruited it early, full colonization is the #1 pinning trigger and #2 is evaporation of moisture off the surface. With tub and fan placement, even though both tubs are in the same room on the same shelf one could be getting more air circulation than the other.

looks pretty healthy as said make sure your bottoms are stuffed tight, you can do without the fan if needed too

for the tub that isn't fruiting can i lightly mist the surface and then apply more direct fan airflow to induce a heavier evaporation off the surface?

In theory yes, but that would more than likely result in your sub getting dry too quickly... I'm gonna pass down some words of knowledge given to me from madseason... "STOP LOOKING AT IT"... the number one thing I came to realize is, staring at your tubs, and constantly changing things up once your dialed are the two biggest anti-pinning triggers... loosen the poly in your top holes and walk away... it'll fruit when it's ready.

I would suggest putting the fan at a different elevation than the tub. Let the tub create its natural convection current. The fan is for circulating the room in the air, not for forcing air into the tub.

Thank u darnkhome that link was very helpful.
The tub that wasn't fruiting I actually discovered today loads of pins on the side of the mono tub/ on the bottom of the tub!!! this was surely due to me not putting tape around the tub for a few days after puttin it into fruiting. altho the tape has been on their for a week+ just that little exposure of light in beginning seemed to be enough. I noticed that this tub has also shrunk in volume exposing space between the walls of the tub and the substrate while my other one has not shrunk and remains gapless. what the hell causes this? dehydration from fan being too close? I just moved the fan farther away so that I can feel the air currents hitting the tub with my hands. will keep ya guys updated

It is shrinking because of the myc consuming it. Basically sucking up all the moisture.

not sucking up the moisture it's actually eating it, this is evident when you go to soak your sub again but it's still shrunk

Just to clarify, it is no longer the popular opinion to tape, but to rather use a trash bags liner. It used to be thought that light was the main cause of side pins, but it is in fact the micro climate that is created when there is a gap between the shrinking substrate and the wall of the tub.

Well how does that explain fruiting on the bottom?
