Can't find certain concensus on flipping cakes?

So I have cakes in the terranium and I'll notice they have no pins for awhile, then I flip it upside down and notice pins, even large matures that are bruising due to the pressure of being on the bottom. Should I flip the cake so the pins are back on top or will that cause them to abort?
I've looked at other threads but there doesn't seem to be much of a concensus. Also, can you flip the jars when the mycelium is consolidating the jars to speed/spread mycelium goth or will that mess it up? Thanks in advance

Sounds like you don't have enough humidity in your terrarium. Most likely the cake is pinning on the bottom because there is a microclimate for pin formation. What kind of setup are you using? How often are you misting? Post some pics.

Don't flip a cake with pins, this often leads to some aborts, they found a happy spot to pin so leave them

I have noticed that when I birth a cake and put it in the chamber after giving it a few hours I put a bit of verm on top of each cake which seems to make pinning on the top of the cake more likely. Not a TC so i would take their word. This is just what i have experienced in my grows.

Awesome. Thanks guys. Pretty sure my hygrometer is messed up and need to increase humidity. Cheers!

forget the hygrometer, get rid of it and mist as needed! when you mist you put 99% rh on the surface of your sub where it matters most and your hygrometer can not measure anyway
