It looks like you have two different types. Without seeing a spore print, I would say that you have pan foe. But the other type looks like a liberty cap???

Cinctulus are frustrating to gather because often you have to spore print it to make sure. At first glance they look brown spored (Panaeolus foenisecii) but you can spore print it to make sure. Black spores = P. cinctulus.

To save time with the Cinct vs Foe struggle....I bring a piece of white paper out in the field with me and just take the gills of a mushroom I think might be a Cinct, and I wipe them on the paper. It immediately show what color the spores are.

Looks like Pan Foe to me based on the print but I've found tons of Pan Subbs that look exactly the same as the mushrooms you found but came up with a black spore print.

Not too sure myself tbh. It wouldnt leave too good of a print for me. Itd be nice if they were psychoactive as the temps where I am still very warm so Im only finding a small amount of liberty caps, twould be nice to have a few "extras" when I run out of libs. Only found 11 yesterday and 55 two days earlier.
Gonna do that with the piece of paper today and see if I manage to find any Subs/cincts. Looks like there could be some gymnopilus growing in my spot also but I aint to sure about it.

I have found a bigger one of these mushrooms today, the lines on the stipe are actually twisting around it and not straight.
Could possibly be a Cinctulus. Taking a spore print of this one iv found now and will post in a while.

There are no known toxic Panaeolus so you can eat any of them, if you get some foes on accident it's no big deal. You probably want to be hunting Liberty caps.

oh thats good. Yeah I am mainly hunting Libs but because of the weather I can only find a small few. So I thought why not try gather a few of these as Im looking for libs. So I can have a stronger trip with them all rather than just off of 30-50 (most iv found so far this season) liberty caps.

All I can tell you is that I've gotten a lot of experience with Pans this season and the spore prints usually look BLACK

These were all pan subbs. I can dig up the spore prints and show you what they look like if you want?

Thank you. Think I do have some. Whats the dosage of these like fresh? Presuming just a few more than with libs. Ie, 30 libs - 40/50 cincts?? No? I hear it varies but you have first hand experience.

First and foremost....yes, the prints you took do appear to be black. However you aren't taking very good prints. Are the mushrooms you are picking really dry? You should leave them sitting for at least a couple of hours. Putting a cup over them is good because it minimizes air flow and allows the spores to drop. But yes, it looks like you got some cincts.
Secondly, Maynard, where did you get those numbers regarding Psilocybin/Psilocin/Beaocystin content? The Shroomery's dosage calculator says that Cinctulus are stronger than Stuntzii. Cinctulus is tough though because the potency varies so much. What I have consistently heard is that when they are found in pastures, they are much stronger.

Potency varies. I just recently took 4 grams dry of Cinctulus and had fantastic level 1 trip. Some of the best mushrooms I have ever had honestly. But they were weak. I suppose you could say it was bordering on level 2 though.

There's no citation of a source though.
I was looking on google for awhile but didn't care enough to find a more credible source. I was just trying to show a comparison of cinctulus and Semilanceata.
How do you know that the shroomery dosage calculator is correct?

Gonna juat dry them and keep collectimg them every time I pick some libs. Eventually should have a fair amount of them over time to make one giant cup of tea. Sure that will truly determine cinct or foe. Or a bit of both but what harm I geuss lol.

They are all from a field which is grazed by horses too if this may affect potency as was mentioned.

The Shroomery's dosage calculator is not correct at all actually. Honestly that is why I was a little anxious when I took them, I was preparing to go way further out than I actually did. Your numbers are correct (as far as Cinctulus goes). I did a lot of research on them and potency has varied when tested. The highest potency being in Serbia...I believe.
