Chemistry book for kids from 1960's
    #22249596 - 09/17/15 05:28 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

Really interesting book I found the other day regarding children's chemistry filled with dangerous experiments to keep children entertained.

They actually let you DO STUFF in old chemistry books, you don;t interest kids for chemistry with some lame ass reaction equasions.

Lol some of these experiments are pretty insane. Making chlorine gas or nitrogen dioxide, both of which are terrible to breathe even in small amount.

My dad used to do experiments like this when he was a boy, and always used to tell me how cool chemistry sets were until people started to injure themselves.

Funny isnt it? White kid builds a nuclear installation in his house, contaminates the neighborhood, he gets a friggin tour of CERN to reward his scientific curiosity.

Arab kid makes a time clock. ITS A BOMB LETS ARREST HIM.

white kid is still trying to be radioactive man, 11 years after initial incident

see : http://www.foxnews.com/story/2007/10/04/radioactive-boy-scout-sentenced-to-0-days-for-stealing-smoke-detectors.html

Atleast that clock building kid got a scholarship for $250,000 out of the ordeal. I think it was 250 I might be mistaken

edit: Read initial radioactive kid article wrong. Changing years

To be fair the Arab kid was later offered tours of the White House and Facebook.

The initial knee jerk response of arresting him was off the fricken wall.

CHeifM4sterDiezL you must have huffed a lot of Duster in your days if you think that taking Ahmed Mohamed to the cops for a "hoax bomb" had nothing to do with his ethnicity.

When one of the cops saw who the kid was, he said something like "yeah that's what I expected"
