That's complete bullshit bro sorry. I've eaten LSD and psilocybin maybe a few hundred times at least and I don't have even a tiny bit of persisting hallucinations and neither do most people that take them. Do some people get it? Yes, but the majority don't

And you have guessed that stat out of thin air BC.
.........rrriiiiiigggghhhhtt
BC how many times have I said that most people do warn new users, and most people know of the information? What do you think about that? Shouldn't people go find the information before they do something? Or do you expect everything to be handed to you and if its not and you fall then blame the people who didn't help you, when you should have helped yourself.

My issue is not with people forgetting to warn people.
Lots of the time they honestly are aware about it and realize is a genuine risk, but choose to withhold that information due to a bias. I find that since we are in a psychedelic forum of course we are gonna focus on the good and try to downplay the bad.
But even people here are basically trying to make jokes about it and say "hey it's a free trip man" and just shit like that.
For the people suffering from this condition including myself, lots of us just wished you guys would admit to it being a problem and something that should not be swept under the rug like it usually is.

How do we admit to it being a problem if we never experienced it? And how are you so damn sure so many people are "sweeping" their hppd "under the rug"? Lol....
Can't take thread serious with that subject title. Detecting possible troll thread.

Well, wake up call BC: Stop trying to control what everyone thinks or wants to think. You will always have bias, and people who will not agree on the same things, because we all experience things differently. Don't let it bother you. I understand you don't enjoy your HPPD, but personally I don't mind it. I haven't done psychedelics for almost 6 months now and its almost gone FOR ME.

Im not 'sweeping it under the rug', I acknowledge it. But it does not bother me. Since it does not bother me, it is not a problem.

I think this really only happens to people who have underlying mental health issues. I've been tripping balls for abotu 25 years and haven't noticed anything major in this regard.

I think it's really the fact that HPPD is very uncommon, especially for it being extreme.

Are there any cases of lasting HPPD? I always thought that even if it lasted for years, the victim would eventually recover.
I was also under the impression that this condition was fairly rare, most who experiance it took outrageous doses, or who had prior mental health issues.
I would say the classic psychedelics are the safest mind altering compounds known, with the longest history of human use, but your right I keep hearing about HPPD, though ive never seen it personally, any negative psychological effects generally diminish with in a few weeks in my experiance, and these people were under high ammounts of stress and took high dose...
If I'm wrong please correct me, because I really want to understand this issue, I'm of the oppinion that its not permanent, and fully reverses with time...but I could be wrong.

Seriously, HPPD isnt that bad, unless u are taking psychs ALl the time.
And it goes away when u reduce your usage.
downplay, downplay. downplay.
I just want us to have an honest discussion about it. And no, I haven't tripped in a couple years and haven't smoked weed in a year and my HPPD is the same.
It is not the worst, but this is a medical disorder caused from psychedelics. I just want people to stop pretending it doesn't exist anymore. There are several forums that are actually very active dedicated to people suffering from this condition. For some it causes severe depression and more.
For people suffering from it, it is not a "free trip". We just want it to go away. The visuals are not even interesting I am looking at my curtain and see these neons rectangles that remind me of a light LSD trip. It is fucking gay especially when I am doing home work and I got this shit from my first mushroom trip.
Weren't you a heavy meth user?

I see colours/patterns when I close my eyes, and colours and patterns (sometimes) in dark rooms until my eyes adjust. It isn't really bothersome, unless I need to see shit...but then I can turn a light on
In darkness, if I move a light really fast, or my hand in front of a dark surface I see slight tracers that dissipate very quickly.
I guess I have this dooming HPPD for life.
It really isn't a big problem, if it even is "HPPD". I still eat psychs when I feel like it. I don't have chronic attacks of flashbacks or something that affect my day to day life, and I also don't remember if before I used psychedelics these things occurred.
Still, I don't give a fuck. Go do some vyvanese for your "ADD".

Meth is a crystal, and crystals are natural. Much safer than some plant or fungus growing in decomposing earth, getting urinated and defecated on by wild animals. Gross.

There you have it folks. Theres the real problem. A brain that experienced heavy Meth use, or regular Meth use, damages the brain to a point where it is more susceptible to gain HPPD from taking psychedelics.

Im sure BC feels real fucking smart right now..
