Shroom Plan - Crimini & White Button

Hi,
I posted this into wrong section initially, as recommended by experts, posting it in recommended section.
I'm new to this hobby and the forum. My interest is to grow White Button Mushrooms and Crimini / Portabello mushrooms indoors.
I have gone through a lots of text and videos and realized that there are many ways to grow.
Constraints: 1. I live in a limited space condo 2. My only grow area is a small space and therefore can only use 6 Qt plastic shoe boxes.
What I already learnt: 1. White mushrooms fruit in compost substrate. 2. Need Peat Moss as casing on top of compost to retain moisture.
My Plan: 1. Take spore-prints (some done). 2. Develop Rye substrate by soaking, sterilizing soaked rye berries into jars (done for Crimini) 3. Inoculating Rye jars with spore prints. Cut spore print into small pieces and inoculate the rye jars (done for Crimini). 4. Wait for full colonization in jars (waiting). 5. Plan to buy compost from Home Depot for fruiting (only two varieties available at local HD). Understand that there is no horse manure in the compost mix. Help needed with selection.
Please correct the plan if there is something wrong. I would like to get my jars colonize before I develop a fruiting plan.
Thanks.

going from spore is going to be difficult. store bough compost is a gamble as well. it's usually wood waste based. even the manure based stuff i've bought it crap (and not in the way you want).

i could be wrong but I think these grow boxes are high quality. and will help you on your path. I think you'd learn a lot just by seeing what proper mushroom compost looks like. http://www.mushroomadventures.com/p-1-white-button-mushroom-kit.aspx

Thanks drake89,
Yes, I understand as I see no mycelium growth in spore inoculated jar since 3 days. I'll try to make a spore syringe from prints.

Another question related to compost is, can I mix horse "Manure" with store bought compost for fruiting results?
I do not have capability (area) to turn horse "Manure" into "Horse Compost". Any other suggestions?
