SGFC n00b question

I can't seem to find any clear plastic container taller than 12" anywhere, and I've checked 10+ retail stores. I'm only fruiting 6 BRF cakes at a time. I've read 66 QT is the average size. Any suggestions?

Maybe turn one upside down and set on top of other then tape it down. I thought ive seen it done like that before but can't seem to find it. Just something to look into I really have no idea.

yup do this. called a dub tub. dont worry about taping it though. holes are monotub style. just make sure you fill it with cakes as much as possible to ensure it performs. the one in the pic below is available at krogers for $1 a piece. this one is kinda a bad example, but i dont have any other pics of one in action. i'd recommend you put holes on both the bottom and top ones for your cakes, rather than all the holes on the top like I'm showing.

I can't remember the exact tek but fruiting cakes inside upside down quart jars kicks ass! A couple holes in the lid and a regular mouth jar lid to keep the cake elevated...I personally prefer it over a SGFC, but to each his own.

My previous statement is especially true since you're only fruiting six cakes... you can add more jars anytime you expand.

What is the quart size of the 12" tall? 6 cakes don't need that much room and definitely not a 66 qt tub. Drilling a 66 qt into a SGFC is a major PITA too.
Do something like a dub tub as mentioned but cakes will perform best in a spec'd SGFC and save the 66 qt for when you want to do a mono tub

Though I have been on earth for ages I am from the stars. My home is no one planet, for many worlds scattered through the shining disc of the galaxy have conditions which allow my spores an opportunity for life... How the hypercommunication mode operates is a secret which will not be lightly given to man. But the means should be obvious: it is the occurrence of psilocybin and psilocin in the biosynthetic pathways of my living body that opens for me and my symbiots the vision screens to many worlds"

The 12" tall tub was a 66 QT.

Looking into trying this maybe? Would really like to stick to SGFC since I'm still fairly new and just getting back into it.
Is 12 3/4" tall enough if I plan on doing 5" perlite? Not too concerned on getting them tall, just trying to get results.
Also, anyone ever sit the cakes sideways while fruiting? Just curious, idni can only find a run about 12-13" tall I might try it to give them more room to grow upward.

Might also check out local thrift stores and ask around. I see plenty of pictures online of totally clear containers that are plenty tall so I know they exist.
Any recommendations?
