Rule addendum: Your utilities are paid, your gas is paid, respectively; you have full coverage renters insurance for the apartment and full collision insurance for the car depending on what you choose.

Can you pick a nice $500,000 Lambo or Ferrari, sell it for $400,000...buy a $200,000 house outright & bank the other $200,000? If that's feasible, there's my answer.

You see the point of this thread is to see what your lifestyle preferences are. Basically you have to pick one or the other. If you choose STAL I want to see a more creative solution than what anybody would do.

Car. You can get a job with a car. An apartment just means you have a place to put the things you buy when you have a job. Have fun walking to work, using public transport, or not having a job at all, if you don't have a car. One month of having a car and a job, you will likely have enough for an apartment. One month of having an apartment, you probably won't be able to get a car. Not a good one anyway. Don't even get me started on doin thangs. Even the best city does not have everything.

If I take the car do I have to live in it?
I mean I have no desire to live in an apartment. I plan on buying a house on land with no nearby neighbors. If I can do that the car for sure.
If it's either you have to live in the car and have no home or live in the apartment no car the the apartment no question.

Can I deck the car out similarly to the apartment?
I'd rather have transportation. I don't really like big cities so I'd be stuck somewhere with no real public transportation system and absolutely fuck walking everywhere. I'd get like a limo hummer or something and deck it out in the center with all the necessities that can be removed and set up independently. I'd also throw a dual purpose bike on the back of it so I didn't have to drive the behemoth everywhere.
I pretty much refuse to live out of a car/rv, but if I literally had to make a choice, I'd choose the transportation.

Do we have to live in the vehicle?
I'd probably go for the vehicle.
I'd get the longest/tallest new Ford Transit van.
They're sweet, you can customize them however you want, they're tall enough to stand up in and very spacious. I'm a carpenter so I would keep all of my tools in there and use it to work out of. They're great work vans.
If we had to live in the car I'd get a matching enclosed trailer. The van comes with power converters, but I'd probably put solar panels on top of it for extra power.
I'd mount a flatsceen on the wall, connect a PC to it, put a ceiling light in it, install a small ac/heater combo unit in it, a fold out bed, a small mini fridge, and a fold out desk/table and be set.
The more I think about it it actually seems pretty sweet.
