How does everyone prepare their coffee, and why. Anyone use any unorthodox methods by American standards? Or do you buy it each day, what do you buy and how much does it cost you?

All my coffee has just a little bit of almond milk in it

I just brew it strong and put lots of cream and sugar in. Highlander grogg is pretty good coffee one of my favorites.

How does everyone brew it though? French press? Classic drip machine?

French press. Pour it from 3 ish feet above the cup so it gets super frothy. Also shake up the cream so it's super foamy and heat retentive. But really this makes me feel gay so I just stick to tea most of the time.

I too have been using a french press....it's truly amazing how thick and oily the coffee is....but I found myself adding more and more grounds, and it broke

I got a kuerig
I'll brew one up and then toss a few of the liquid creamer packs into it
Top off with some sugar

It's funny, I kind of scoff at the kuerig....those cups get so pricy like 8-15 bucks for half a pound of coffee, it's madness! At the same time I was house sitting for a buddy who had one and it was pretty damn easy to get a strong ass cup of coffee, and cleanup couldn't of been simpler

We have a kurig too but I hat that it produces so much extra waste vs normal brewer. Don't get me wrong I use it a lot. I just am starting to feel bad about it. Same with plastic water botles. I've prolly thrown away thousands... Haven't thrown any away for a few months and they are stacking up even after being crushed.

Since my french press broke I am going to buy a moka pot. Pretty much stove top expresso, I had one a while ago but not the official one and the one I had was too big. Figured a small cappuccino each morning might be enjoyable the way they brew too is kind of cool

For $10-30 bucks you kind find a moka pot style brewer. Brews shots of expresso like coffee....mix it 50/50 with milk and BAM....

i rarely drink coffee n when i do i make like a tiny cup in my spresso machine interestingly just two days ago i had like the worst cup of coffee I ever had because I got this crazy foldgers instant crystals. I call it the dirt cup because i refuse buy anymore good coffee at the moment so my cousin can fucking drink expensive coffee at my house for free evryday so now he gets the mud cup.

It's not so much a taste thing for me as a way to save space (no need for a big espresso machine - or even a small one) and enjoy the ritual of brewing a nice cuppa.
Cost? I don't know. Never really calculated it.
