Not really. I am enjoying life more each year. I'm at a great age...nearly 50. Enough life experience behind me to be considered credible by most, and still enough youth left in me to enjoy the time I have. You just have to take it in stride and accept the fact that your body is slowly giving out on you. Just do what you can with what you got and enjoy yourself as much as possible. With age comes wisdom and experience, and those things slowly take the place of vigor and vitality. Aging is actually pretty awesome if a guy does it gracefully. Its sad when someone tries so hard to deny the fact that they are getting older that it becomes pathetic. Don't ever be that guy. Embrace your bald spot, stubborn pot belly, and morning aches n pains. These are just reminders that you have weathered all the storms life has thrown your way.

I remember standing at the spillway of the dam, they had the extenders all the way raised to the highest point (putting the water level to its highest point), and the water was flowing over the top and into the spillways in a roaring waterfall. Watched the fish getting pulled over into the spillways. You got drenched from the mist standing there.
I grew up near Alta/Buffalo and we were the farthest suburbs on the edge of town. Used to ride my dirt bike from my house all across the West end of the valley, out to Lone Mountain and across over to what is now Spanish Hills (that hill with all the fancy homes right behind Spanish Trails) and there was nothing out there. We used to party in the desert at the "end of Sahara"...what would now be approximately the intersection with Buffalo. Just 20 years ago I used to go shooting in the desert at almost the exact spot where my home is now in the North end of the valley.
Yeah, I've seen some changes.

yeah man.. this town.. i think reno is lying, this place is the biggest littlest town one can live in

Rancho/Oakey....HA! I spent one Thanksgiving eating McDonalds pizza (look it up...McDonalds sold pizza for a while) alone at Bob Baskin park because I was too high on LSD to go to my parents house for the festivities. I think that was '91 or '92.

One time I had a homeless person look at my virginity and I lost it.
But no lie this amazingly cute girl I know was attacked by a homeless person on some railroad tracks and he broke her back really REALLY badly and she had to like learn how to walk again and all that shit it was fucked up because she told me when I was coming down off of acid so I laughed thinking she was joking but she has a massive scar on her back and like really bad PTSD from it.
He like almost killed her, not sure if they ever caught him or not

Shitty for the Lakes maybe. But anything in that area beats pretty much everything East of the strip! LOL
BTW...I used to ride my dirtbike there when there was nothing but desert.
Edit- And I'm not knocking East of the Strip. Some of my best memories were living in places East of the Strip. Its just not the places I would've chosen to raise a family or anything.
