For those who have seen both Samsara & Baraka: Which one is better?

I mean if you had to absolutely pick one. I saw Samsara tripping before, and it was profound as fuck.
I haven't seen Baraka yet -- but will be soon. I always assumed that Samsara would be better just because it's a lot more recent, but reading opinions on the internet seem to indicate that Baraka is every bit as good if not better than Samsara.
So if you absolutely had to pick one, which one would it be?

You should go see Chronos too.

Chronos...never heard of it. I'll put it on the list. Is it a similar type of film?

I've been so high as fuck pretty much every time I've seen either of them that I probably couldn't tell you which is which if I watched them.

I liked Baraka more than Samsara. If Koyaanisqatsi wasn't so old and shit quality I think it would be better than both.

So for those who prefer Samsara -- why is that? Is it because it's newer? Or just better content?

I'm oddly protective of these films. Like their mine or something.
Makes me mad that other people know about them.
Check out 'Pure Cinema' for other good silent movies.

My opinion shouldn't hold much weight because I've only seen baraka once, or maybe only half of it. I don't remember it having as much of a coherent story line behind it-as opposed to samsara's loose story line which was sorta the cycle of everything - mainly life and death
I also saw samsara on a large screen in hd and baraka on my laptop

Lack of a (coherent? obvious?) plotline is sorta what I like about Baraka.
There is, in fact, a pattern, to Baraka, but you have to watch it closely to find it. You prolly know this.
I used to have it on a loop on the big screen, back in the day. Before everyone and their therapist heard about it.

Chronos(1985) is a Ron Fricke film as well.

So being that it's an 85' film -- it still stands the test of time? I'm always weary of films that get into that neighborhood of 30 years and older, because I always feel like they'll seem too outdated.
