How to add extra humidity to my sgfc?
    #22243449 - 09/15/15 09:26 PM (8 years, 4 months ago)

I have to keep misting almost every two hours bc my humidity goes down too fast, after I mist it goes to 100 but after a hour it goes to 55 or 60. How can I keep my humidity at 90?

Do not use a hygrometer to tell you when to mist your cakes, look at your cakes. If your SGFC is built to spec you should only have to mist 2 to 5 times a day or so, it is normal for your humidity to fluctuate. Get rid of the hygrometer it is not made for the inside of a SGFC and will not be accurate :super:

You don't......you want a fluctuation....do yourself a favor and get rid of the hygrometer.....

The humidity level does not matter, just keep evaporation happening at substrate level....this means mist the cakes, only when they look dry.

Mist the cakes with a fine mist until they glisten, then fan out the chamber, for a drop in humidity, to make room in the air for evaporation of the water you just misted to take place.

Repeat as needed....monitoring RH levels is pointless.

Put more cakes in the chamber. The more substrate you have in a shotgun fruiting chamber The better it will hold humidity.

Basically make a bigger grow next time.
