Another SAB Question but Not ANOTHER SAB question

Perhaps it's the gin and tonic blocking my abilities to use the search engine, but I have a SAB question. I read that I should pick a container that is just wider than my shoulders to allow for enough work space. It looks like most people use the 108 qt sterlite container. However, I am small. 5ft 5in, small hands, narrow... When I looked at the 108 ct at Target it seemed as if I couldn't place it on a table, stand, and look into the top or bottom or whatever...
A 66/70 ct seems like the right height but am I seriously limiting my work space? Also, I bought some plexiglass and had planned on retrofitting the lid. I am curious as to what you other folk do?

I don't look into the top of my SAB. I just look throught he plastic above where my arms are. Maybe a little bit through the corner. If I position myself above it I'm raining down contams on the whole box. I set it on a large table and sit down in front of it. So, I think I do use the 108qt as well, if not something bigger than that, and even if you're short, I'd still recommend it for the room you're gonna need inside it.

make one that works for you, make the arm holes as big and wide or narrow as you want. if you cant find a tub use plastic. make a more clear front if you want. you can make a killer SAB.

Im 5'7, and weigh like 20 lbs wet. I use a 72L (76qt) SAB. I don't have any real space issues, but I really don't work with anymore than 8 qt jars at a time either. More space in a SAB will always be better, but i'm pretty comfortable in my 72l.

Bigger is definitely better. They're just more effective all around on top of having more space for jars.

Build a shmuvbox yo. Below is mine.

Room for 20 receiving jars and a master to boot. Plus you're working in a 99.99% HEPA-Rated Clean air.
Getting back on track. Get the biggest most transparent box you can find.
Don't cut your holes by heating up a pot on the stove... So much plastic fumes.

I need to go pick up another container. I have only looked at them like 20 times over the course of the last 2 weeks. I have 4 66 ct containers, one of which I have turned SAB. I think I cut the holes too large and while the work-space seems fine now, I might regret it later.

Because it has a filter blowing air into it. 99.99% clean air allegedly. (0.01% dirty air you mean)

That seems like A LOT more work and money. I have a feeling a SAB works just fine.
I'm off to have some sake and steak. Good evening folks.I shall return either when I am more inebriated or tomorrow when I am sober.

Which is the same rating as a standard HEPA blower. Let's not shit ourselves here. Most 'flowhood' DIY's here are not 'laminar flow hoods' They are blowers with a filter on it. At least in this case the air is contained and the positive pressure cycles entering contamination or pushes it against the walls of the bag.
The air purifier can be picked up for 32.99 and a dual pack of HEPA rated filters is also 32.99. Clear garbage bags that size can be purchased for a 2.99 ten pack. These ones say they are for leaves on the box.

I am literally offering you the kingdom and your response is basically 'that seems like a lot of work'
You know what's a lot of work?
Throwing out tubs that turn green. Decontaminating tubs that turn green. Throwing out jars that turn green (super expensive, but guess what it's even more work to try and save them) Still listing off expensive things here. The filters and lids on the jars are also more expensive.
Do you know how expensive contamination is?
I do. I fucking know. It pisses me off that I know. Because any time I've ever gotten even a little lazy or frugal in this hobby is has screwed me in the long run.
I promise you. Less contamination is less work. Sushi gets the I was a sushi apprentice in Japan for 9 years.

Okay cool your jets motherfuckers. Hahaha. I can afford a trash bag and already have a HEPA filtration system. That's why I asked for the tek. I simply didn't know. But... I do wonder if those using adequate SAB's are experiencing a hover eager of contaminated than those using this method?
I've been working in a laboratory setting for many years and can see the application but have also been very successful without a flow hood (which this appers to be the poor man's Tek of?). So...
