I think the reason it doesn't catch on is because people look at a picture of it and they just laugh. The whole tek looks ridiculous at first. Even I laughed at it when I first saw because it just seemed so ghetto to me.
Now I love it.
QFT
I've used flowhoods, SAB's, Shmuvs. Shmuvs rule! I can g2g or Liquid inoculate 50 quarts in one sitting comfortably. All things have their ups and downs. But the ups on the shmuv set it above the rest.

I do rinse, but i leave all that junk in there most of the time. In wbs for me sometimes I find random things like rocks, dried cherries, straw, corn, beans ect. It all colonizes. There is one small circular dark grain in the wbs that won't colonize. But I only see this random grain in one out of every ten 40lb bags.

That's condensation. The water has collected in certain points. These jars are the best I've had yet. Its only been three days since I filled up the jars anyways. There's no way that bacteria would of grown by now.

You should post a pic of the same jar now that its a few days later.
No one agrees with me this thing is contaminated?

It is, especially the bottom of the jar, you can see the mold permeating each individual grain.

Mold, bacteria, both, whatever, but that jar is still fucked.

That jar may be fine. Sometimes grains just look like that when they're starchy.

This strain of spores has shown tomentose growth every time I've attempted WBS Jars.
(Sorry for the glare from the light.)
