Good afternoon everyone! I soon hope to be a regular poster and a pretty active part in the community.
Yesterday, I decided to go into a few different habitats to see how the mushrooms where doing. We have had a few rainy days, and I had hoped to find a few neat specimens. I was not disappointed! The forest was showing signs of mycological life... Finally! I look forward to finding some gourmet mushrooms this year and hopefully a nice supply of actives to hold me over till next year!
How are the mushrooms doing in your areas? Have any of you had any luck lately?
CHEERS!

You are APPALLINGLY cheerful. I like it.
Here in Kansas, we've been having cooler weather, but only one day of rain in the last few weeks. My hopes are not high for mushrooms here, but if the weather stays cool and we get another day of rain, I'll probably wander out and see what the offerings are like.

Being in the southwest I haven't been mushroom hunting. However I have plans to move to Oregon in the near future. I would love to search the forests for some actives! Sounds very cool man can't wait to see how you're searches go!

You'll do better in the H & I forum with this subject. That said...welcome to the Shroomery. You guys will soon be coming into cyan season in the northwest. The northeast is just now blooming with armillaria (honey mushrooms) clusters everywhere. The early summer chanterelles were out of this world this year after near perfect fruiting conditions. The tail end of summer was very dry with not much to say in the fungi world. I'm looking forward to mid October to begin the fall Ovoid foraging.

Haha, I am glad! I definitely am a positive thinking person and always happy, even on my worst of days I can still manage to crack a smile about something.

That's great! Where in Oregon are you wanting to locate?

You can say that again! I look forward finding my first active. I imagine the trip will be much more special due to all the work I will have to put into finding them!

Hey man! What are you up to day & how are you doing? Welcome to The Shroomey brotha! Glad to have you here.
Sometimes I go hunting for mushrooms. Unfortunately I have yet to find any actives or edibles. Oh well. Maybe I'll get lucky sometime soon! I hope.
I hope to see you around. Don't go disappearing.
Also, good luck on your mushroom hunting adventures. The identification forums would be the perfect place to start threads & post pictures of mushrooms that you find if you are unsure of the species. Lots of people there will be glad to help you. Peace!

I'm doing fantastic, actually! Thank you for asking. I'm just killing time at work, and waiting for the day to come to an end. I'm in the same boat with the actives... Still have yet to find one! I posted a few of my findings last year around this time, but they weren't actives.
Don't worry I plan to be sticking around for quite awhile! I can't wait to post my trip reports and gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the psychedelic world!
