Took the polyfill out, turned off the humidifier, hopefully this will drop my humidity levels. It's still reading 99%.

Regarding the grow lights, how necessary are they for growing tubs?

Just as necessary as having lights for cakes.

If I'm not mistaken, all species of mushrooms benefit from light schedules. They have circadian rhythms.

Got a lil pin porn for ya today! Not my best work, or my worst lol! I thought I took a picture of all 6 tubs, not sure why there's only 5 pictures. Anyways, 4 of these tubs I forgot to rehydrate the grain before spawning to bulk (old habit) but I cased all 4, the 2 others I rehydrated the grains before spawning but I didn't case. Curious to see the final results! From here on out I'll be casing all my substrates when growing PE and rehydrating grains before spawning regardless if strain. I will note that the two tubs I didn't case, def showed signs of the infamous blobs and none of the tubs I cased did! I think FrankHorrigan is spot on there with using casing layers to reduce risk of blob/mutant first flushes. Anyways, have a great day everybody. Thanks for reading!

That's my understanding as well. I start to establish it immediately with my jars. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with them being more closely related to animals then plants.

On cased grows you can neglect light am I right?
Do you also use lights during colonization phases or just when you're fully colonized and ready to start fruiting? What does your lighting schedule look like on a normal day? Do you adjust or modify the time on some days or situations? Thanks for sharing and gl on your grow

Maybe, but I'm not sure.
I use lights during colonization phases to establish circadian rhythm.
I use a timer and run my lights 12 hrs on & 12 hrs off and I never change it.
Thanks for the interest

Wish I had an update with some pictures, but due to an emergency I had to leave town for 8 days. Luckily I have good friends that were able to come by and do what they could so I didn't lose to much. I ended up yielding 33 ounces dry from 6 tubs. A few things went wrong but I'm not going to get into it. Everything is back on track for the most part though and I will be updating this post in the near future with more results. Just wanna say thanks to Shroomery and to everybody whose given me any advice or good information! Stay trippy my friends!
