Want to get some opinions about what these could be. Any thoughts will help greatly.

A little background: I found these two guys growing out of the same log. Not sure what the type of log was but it was very decayed. You can see the substrate that the stalks were attached to if that helps. When I picked these guys, there was no discoloration like you see in the picture. I had them in my desk, looked two days later and noticed how blue they were. I'm just curious as to what I may have found. I found them in the north east of North America in the forest. My goal for that hunt was to find Psilocybin caerulipes since it's habitat is roughly in my area. Plus, they're known to grow on wood/wood mulch in forests. I was never able to get a spore print cause they dried out when I got back. If these are indeed a psilocybin species, would it be worth eating them? There isn't much mass to them but I've heard that wood-lovers are especially potent. Interesting finds nonetheless. Any help would be cool. I'm new to this site so forgive me for any formatting mishaps, still learning.

Welcome to the shroomery....there really is no way to tell what those mushrooms are in their present condition. Next time take shots showing the fresh mushroom cap, stem and gills.

They might be Psilocybe caerulipes but there is no point in eating them, two little mushroom probably wouldn't do much to you and it's kinda unsafe to eat a mushroom so old that it's hard to identify

The "very decayed" comment by OP made me think these could possibly be Galerina. They don't really look like them (too leggy), but I don't usually do well trying to figure out dried LBM's anyway. Plus, I could swear I see brownish spores in pic 2 on the cap on the left.

You know, I know that in order to be great at anything you must have patience especially in this risky field. I've read all of these comments and two shrooms is not all worth it so I just threw them away. I'm going to check the spot I found them sometime soon and will take some nicer photos to hopefully figure out what they are. Disregard my shit post lol. Thank you everyone for your advice.

Nah, it's hard not to post when you get excited. Just remember to take your time, I'm no pro but I do know it could save a life. This forum has taught me a lot about eating in the wild. Keep hunting

definitely worth going back to find more and ID them, even if just for curiosity's sake. as stated above, it's quite possible that they're Ps. caerulipes; they're certainly small enough. yeah, the pics are sort of shitty for making an internet ID, but if they blued while drying as you say there is a possibility they're what you were looking for.
GL and post again if you find anything!

Well shit post as in shitty pictures and shitty conditions (ie dried).

I was doing some more research last night after reading your comment. I found out that there is actually a rare Galerina species (G. steglichii) that does bruise blue (contains psilocybin apparently) but I couldn't find any definitive proof about its toxicity. I googled some pictures and it actually looks a lot like what I found. So yeah I think you may be right, if only I could've gotten a decent spore print to confirm.

Galerina sometimes have a greenish tint along the lower stipe. Not sure if that tint persists after drying. I see Galernia sp three or four times a year in person, so I'm definitely not experienced with their subtleties.
Glad to see that you're a cautious and responsible mushroom hunter. And I agree with the others, your post wasn't shitty. In fact, if these do turn out to be toxic, your post is valuable to hopefully show others that positive identification is necessary to know if a mushroom is safe, not the presence of a blue color.
Would love to see pics of fresh specimens if you can find them again.
