bears are hunter gatherers, but they are extremely defensive, and if they smell you in their territory, good luck!
there is no simple solution, but we can make time for appreciating life and nature, and the stories of others, including the bear. Every story adds a dimension of association in mind.

Real men don't have man boobs. I've always assumed man boobs are a normal part of weight gain. But recently I've learned it is caused by a hormonal shift due to dietary behaviors. Consumption of grain products (especially wheat) has been linked to higher male estrogen levels (which, BTW, causes testosterone to plummet). Increased estrogen levels in males stimulate breast development. Fascinating trivia to share at your next cocktail party.

This conversation is about men, not women but you make some weird points I need to address
"They don’t really value what they can contribute. Women can do a lot more than making babies."
What do they contribute besides making babies that you value?
I feel an awkward silence within. I desire to reply with a long list. I confess, this is egotistical, but women make me feel good. I place value on aspects of life that help me feel good.

Is the claim there is zero scientific evidence dietary nutrition has effects on hormones?
(I'm not talking about so called "feminine behaviors" in men)
Wheat & grains can alter the synthesis of estrogen, testosterone, thyroid hormone, cortisol

As my gp would say, that's esoteric.

Yeah sure, everyone has their place, but if you want to talk about proposed nutritional deficiencies with a gp, it's a decent response from them. Well, a decent response for them, not from them..
I had a concern about phosphoric acid in coke once, and that's all the gp really said.

The jobs- has been that way because in the past women were viewed incapable. They are not.
Yes, I am full of good intentions. Ya know what they say about the road to hell and good intentions right?
There was a time when women were kept out of certain areas but for quite a while they've been free to pursue whatever job they want. There still aren't many women taking dangerous or physically difficult jobs. Yes there are exceptions but generally both sexes play to their own strengths.

When my 12 year old niece complains about toxic masculinity, I want to remind her that women have always been more valued, as males are the ones who defend their tribes and die. Men are seen as more expendable. When women complain there aren't enough females in leadership roles, they forget leaders are often killed. Women are more valued while men are seen as more expendable.
This is the post that made me want to respond. This is a thread about men. Of course I understand that. But that was not a good talk to have with a 12-year-old little girl. Basically telling them they don’t get to do any leadership roles. Thats a farce; they have plenty of opportunities. As long as they aren’t programmed to think there are none.
OK, so where is this disrespect you speak of? I'm not seeing it and I think sometimes you reach hard to find offense in something. He did not state women can't have leadership roles like you claim he did.
A 12 year of girl complaining of toxic masculinity only knows about it because of "influencers" (what a fucking joke) on tiktok or something like it. To offer a balanced perspective to a developing mind is a good thing but because it's explaining the male perspective you pretend it's a bad thing.
Also you didn't respond to the most important part of my post. What do YOU see as things women contribute aside from making babies? Or did you intentionally avoid that part? I feel a little like I may as well have asked you to tell me what a woman is without using the word woman

I think both sides have good points.
There is sexism for sure, it goes both ways, it impacts all genders, and is different in different circumstances.
I just see it as societies using identity and the insecurity of identity as a way of shaping people into forms that might benefit the society. Every single form you might take has benefits and drawbacks.
I went through a phase of watching interviews with special forces guys. Like the elite tier 1 operators that are at a higher level than the regular navy seals or the rangers etc. Many of them admitted a big part of their drive was to become the best, but even when they hit the ultimate peak they still felt inadequate.
I see that as a person striving to make themselves into an ideal so that they can feel secure with their identity, sense of self, and this is in relation to a community. Its part of the empty hole that drives and motivates people.

Small contractors have no HR and don't care for OSHA.
Eons ago there were a few construction guys who get fired for cat calling on multiple occasions.
On construction sites and around heavy equipment or powered machinery it sucks to have green workers. You can't watch them 24/7 but almost have to with some individuals..
Where safety is concerned, I understand a hard line 'masculine' stance. You don't want anyone getting hurt in the workplace. Liability is why we have paperwork!
Outside of machinery and construction sites one can chill yknow. Let it go or whatever.
The public school district, in Los Angeles, has these modular-style classroom buildings that are permanently fastened down to the asphalt basketball court with metal pegs. One person is supposed to hold the peg. Another person drives it in with the jackhammer...
Companies with a high rate of turnover employ mostly meth addicts for day labor. I got in a wreck on my first day. You arrange for a ride home, in advance, or they will leave you wherever.
A fof reported working his way back home from Hawaii to Arizona to southern California.
One long time member of the belated church was offering one way trips to Hawaii, shortly after an eruption.
There are these different milestones to manhood, like the drivers license, which will make difference between a hundred dollar job and a thousand dollar job. And, contractors' license, which is really no more than a fee you pay the city. And, if you're one of the stragglers, it works like a nature documentary.
