Early Morning Cloudburst

Good morning my shroomy friends. Woke up very early this morning to the sound of heavy rain falling on my tent. Laid there for a while but realized I had to go roll the windows of my truck up so it won't be all wet in there. We really need this rain here in So Cal. It's been such a dry last couple of years. Also hopefully it'll cool things down and not just make it more humid.
Went back to sleep for a bit, now I'm just chillin having some breakfast and coffee and getting ready for my day at work, and then aikido after. Have an appointment with a client this afternoon to talk about a yard project she wants to work on.
What's good with you my friends?

I am drinking some coffee and getting some stuff done on the computer for my business.
Later I have to go pick up some stuff at Lowes - some new blinds etc and then go install them at the yoga studio I manage.
Had an awesome yoga practice this morning. Fall is in the air. Life is good!

Yoga is great! Wish I had time to work, practice Aikido, and do yoga. I used to live by a yoga place that had $5 drop in classes and that worked out nice because I could just go on the occasions when I had time.

I practice mainly at home now. I either just get on my mat and see where spirit leads me, or I'll put on a yogaglo class.
You should check it out, they have some AMAZING teachers. They have a free 15day trial I believe, and after that it's only $18/month. I love that they have class lengths anywhere from 5 mins-90 mins so you can always find something to fit your schedule.

They also have really good meditations, and talks too. I discovered Yoga Nidra there, which has been an amazing addition to my practice. Good stuff, and they ought to pay me to promote it.

12:45 AM here, just watching some standup and drinking wine. I got some nasty chemical in my eye at work last night, saw the optometrist earlier today and they put me on some anti-inflammatory and steroid drops, luckily it only burned the white part otherwise I might have gone blind/semi-blind in that eye.
I have tomorrow off and if weather permits I might go fishing. Also over the weekend my stupid drunk friend on a bender stole all my beer and my bicycle (how I get to work) and now he has no memory of it or where the bike is, pretty pissed as it was the best bike I've owned and gifted to me by my dad...his having a rough patch and has put up with my shit so I'll forgive him.

Heading into work shortly. Should be a pretty slow day so I'm going to spend some down time researching soil amendments and ferts for my Trichs. Big guys will have to wait for spring to get re potted but the seedlings will be ready for their new home in a month or so. Gotta get cracking.

Have the day off work today, might go hiking to some waterfalls with Hot Alex. She's this hot chick I know, named Alex. She seems like the flakey type though, but if she doesn't come through then i'll prolly hit the waterfalls solo

Hi lads
The interview went pretty well, the HR lady said she'd keep my application on file and talk to the assistant plant manager about finding a position for me, said she'd call me back when/if they decide to make me part of the crew so that's great
I'm just chillin, gonna go to my buddy's later so his girl can give me a haircut then off to work afterwards

Met some cool people who were out shark fishing out on a dock next to ours, had a drink and watched them reel in some catches right around where we've been swimming everyday.
Pretty rainy here at the moment, there's no boats headed out at all today. Taking the time to do some homework then it's dinner, and then we're gonna hit the town, god bless Uber.

So does that mean they caught sharks?
That's badass

Yes, just little babies though, we got a few neat pictures of a lemon shark. The house we're staying at is right on the water - it's a little bay or inlet, and it seems like a fish nursery. Baby trumpet fish, baby barracudas, baby sharks. Haven't seen any of the sharks while out swimming/snorkelling the bay, though I'm still wondering if the tarpon I saw around the dock at night were tarpon or little sharks.
we avoid swimming around dusk/night and dawn, and I think that's mainly when they come in to eat stuff.

sounds like a fun time. lol at barracudas, i always figured that was a wild bear or lion-like animal for some reason based on that song by Heart

it's a good song

but they don't deserve their reputation at all, the only time you might have the slightest chance of an accident with them is if you're wearing shiny stuff, rings, particularly. People who are fishing are by far at the greatest risk for being attacked by anything because they're all up in that toothiness, but it's not like they're just gonna come up to a person in the water and bite them unprovoked.

Yeah I really enjoy sleeping in my tent. It's nice to be so much closer to nature and the outdoors. I might move back into my room for the winter though. I'm still undecided. I guess it depends how cold and miserable it gets, but honestly it never really gets all that cold and miserable here.
