Is there really a difference between a sclerotia trip and a Cubensis trip?

I've heard people describe it as "cleaner" than a cube trip. Some have even gone as far as to call it "MDMA like." I have been told that they are a little less potent, too. What is everyone's experience?

I don't see why there would be much difference as they both contain the same active ingredients

They may contain the same chemicals, but they contain them in differing ratios. That's the theory behind why different strains of marijuana have different effects, despite the fact that they all contain the same cannabinoids. Because sclerotia has a different ratio (or so it's said) of psilocybin to psilocyin to baeocystin compared to Cubensis, it may produce a different experience.

There's a difference, but it's slight if anything. My first truffle trip felt like a completely different thing in the beginning compared to mushrooms. Although around the peak the similarities came back.
But truffles are awesome. I haven't had a weak batch of them. Truffles are just great.

Awesome! Yeah, from a cultivation standpoint, they're kinda cool too. No need to fruit, just inoculate a jar or bag and wait for the stones to form.

My observations on truffles: -way less mindfuck/confusion (maybe they are nicknamed philosophers stones in part because you can carry on a lucid conversation while tripping.) -zero stomach issues/nausea (from dried stones anyway) -pretty much the same psychedelic experience as cubes, once you dial in your dosing for your batch -great closed eye visuals, great body sensations, great euphoria, great headspace, plenty mystical/spiritual -OEVs happen too, but at a slightly higher dosage than the equivalent cube dose (for me and my batches anyway) -super fun and easy and stealthy to cultivate with great yield
In my opinion, truffles are a great choice for a first time tripper because they seem less likely to cause confusion and bad vibes and nausea. I recently took a friend on their first experience and it was absolutely perfect.

They are a little different, it seems like cubes i would keep the trip whole time.
The truffles, it seemed like it would come in waves on some trips, other trips it was the same as cubes. Its very slight difference, novice users would not notice, the visuals were identical, even on level 4, the morphing was the same as cubes. Head space was a little different, almost more clear. Didn't have much of loop thoughts as i do with the cubes on higher doses.

If you do fruit, do you get mushrooms and truffles?

Yes. Common practice is to do a flush of stones and then case and fruit the leftover grain, and you still get stones in the substrate while fruiting.
The mushrooms are apparently tiny but very potent.

The ones i have got from overseas, they are about the size of a peanut, not very big, they weren't growing for long, its all about how much the companys can put out as fast as possible.
Sometimes one 15g bag is a weak 1.5g trip, other times i would compare it to almost a 1/8th of cubes. When i take truffles, i make two 15G bags into tea with lemon and honey when i am ready to drink it. I drink 1/2 the tea, and wait 60-90 mins to see if i need the other half.
