grow lights for salvia

Can anyone recommend some types of grow lights that i can use to grow salvia under and use for my cactus during winter

Don't use lights for your cacti for the winter. Let em go dormant. (Unless you are talking seedlings).
For salvia, CFLs work well. Or you can get a couple flouro tubes. I use 6500k.

Gocha. Well, others may be fancier than myself, but mine just sit right next to the sally under my flouro tubes. I'm sure others might pop in with differing opinions though...
But salvia definitely does well under CFLs and flouro tubes.

That'd probably work, but I have no experience with HPS or MH lights whatsoever, so I can't honestly give an opinion on them for this application.

ok i found a grow light system kit on ebay i won't post the link because ill probaly get in trouble for breaking the rules but it has this bulb:High Pressure Sodium Bulb 400w - 54,000 Lumen Color Temperature - 2,000k Bulb Base - E39 Mogul Bulb Life - 24,000 Hours Extra stabilizers and reinforced glass casing for improved stability and safety Regulation - CE certified - UL listed
and it has this bulb: Metal Halide Bulb 400w - 36,000 Lumen Color Temperature - 4,200k Bulb Life - 10,000 Hours Extra stabilizers and reinforced glass casing for improved stability and safety Regulation - Ce Certified - UL listed
i see the color tempature is lower than what you use should i get the kit though? or invest more money in better equipment?
