Psilocybe Azurescens I.D.

I believe this is Psilocybe Azurescens, but I am a beginner mushroom hunter, and want verification on my identification, as I don't want to be poisoned by making a poor identification.
Habitat: In a cemetery in lawn. Unknown what the soil type is. Found in Wisconsin.
Gills: Brown, bruised a lot when disturbed. Attached.
Stem: About 50 mm long, 2-3mm wide, light brown, thin
Cap: About 1 cm in diameter, dark brown with a light spot in the center, umbonate
Spore print color: Dark brown
Bruising: The gills heavily bruised upon disturbance
Other information: No scent, dried up before I could get a picture (I waited too long, it didn't dry up instantly)

Not the droids you are looking for I''m not a TI but, no bluing and no purple in the print makes it highly unlikely to be a psilocybe at all
Without a pic, hard to say what it is Almost all azures come from the northern coast of Oregon or southern coast of Washington state, close to the beach (unless someone's garden you found)
Good instinct you have on not eatin them... May have saved yourself a trip to the ER
Keep hunting

I guess I was unclear on the bruising. The gills bruised blue. I didn't even have to check the cap because I could see it was probably bruised blue as well. As for the spore print, I am not an expert on the colours of the prints, but from my research, I saw that Azurescens have a really dark print. I could not really determine how purple it was, all I could tell was it was a very dark brown. It could have a bit of purple in it, but it is too dark to tell. What I was unsure about was the size of it. It is quite a bit smaller than the description I have obtained from identification guides. Also, identification guides claim that they can be found in Wisconsin, although they are not common.

I think I may have found another species it may be. It could possibly be a Psilocybe strictipes. The ones I found look similar to those displayed, and they are much closer in size and habitat than the Psilocybe Azurescens.

Could it potentially be another psilocybe species that grows in Wisconsin? The fact that it bruises heavily blue makes me think that it could contain psilocybin. And I just checked and several websites say that based on information from several years ago, and it is unlikely they are still in Wisconsin today.

Unfortunately all the ones I collected have dried up by now. I am planning on going out later this week and seeing if any more have grown. I can post pictures then. I currently only have two, and they look nothing what they did when I first found them. I have tried looking up mushrooms growing in my area and didn't find much. Most of the results were people claiming to have found some species followed by a bunch of people saying that the species is not in the area they were found. Most of the ones I could find were psilocybe semilanceata, which for the most part was found on cow dung. Are the ones you listed all psychedelic ones?

As I said, I cannot post pictures now. I will go out later this week to see if any have grown back and take pictures then, but they ones I have are too dismembered to get a good picture from. They look nothing like what they did when I found them.

buych778,
You can always take a look at my pics. Not the best way to identify as there are so many other factors at hand, but I do have some nice pics. HAHA. I agree with everyone else on this discussion. If you did not find them on the Best Coast, Whoops West Coast, then they are probably not Azures. However, your determination to find some Psycho-Actives is moving. Keep up the hunt. You are bound to find something someday. Maybe pay us a visit? buych778

It's not cold enough in wi yet- and you prob found a Entaloma sp. or a hygrocybe species in cemetery grass with the moss. Your habitat is way off for azurescens like WAY OFF same with time of year.
Post pics man we don't need wi dung loving liberty cap stories in 2015
