Would you trust machines to do virtually everything for you?

I know someone's gonna wanna take it the whole Skynet route, but that's not what I'm asking. For the sake of argument let's just say it was made literally impossible for the machines to rise up against us. This is simply about computerizing and mechanizing virtually all your daily actives and if you'd feel safe in such a system. I also realize this would make the vast majority of jobs completely obsolete so let's ignore that, too.
Everything from cooking/cleaning your house to driving and maybe even going so far as to make entirely pilotless passenger aircraft. Where would you draw the line on it going too far?

With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way. I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today. Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. John Henry died, I love technology. It feels natural and oh so human to me. Bring on the ultra sensors fast response time and automation, I say.

If it were at home, maybe.. There seems to be quite a crowd there though.

People are already fat and lazy enough
Robot servants will just make that problem much worse
But me personally I wouldn't feel right having a robot do everything for me, I like to do things on my own

I personally wouldn't mind not having to mow the lawn and shit. But fact of the matter seems that I won't trust a dishwasher to fully clean my dishes. Perhaps Part of me wouldn't ever trust that, then again time=money.
Good thread OP!

I would trust that kind of machine. Or any super human like robot.
And no they won't take over the world. Programmers always leave a backoor even in the most securedwhatever. They will build a an off switch somewhere inside that robot's ass to prevent doomsday.

I think i'd like certain aspects of it. Especially driving or having something clean up for me. I guess the bottom line for me is that I really enjoy human interaction
I wouldn't want a robot serving my table or handing me my Mcdonalds at a drive through. I like telling people to have a good day or tipping someone super fat when they're down on their luck. Just shit like that.

I pretty much already operate under the assumption that everyone besides me is a robot. I have a suspicion that I may be too.

How intelligent the AI is makes a big difference to me.
If sensors detect when I wake up, know my morning routine, and has food that was prepared seconds before I walk into the kitchen, great. If a computer can read my mind and predict my thoughts and desires, I'll trust it. Without emotions it is technically less likely to tamper with my food than the possibility of a person entrusted to the task doing so.
If I have to get to the kitchen, tell the machine what I want, wait for it to cook, and then eat -- well, I have a machine with that level of efficiency already, and it is called a toaster.

Honestly I'd trust well made machines over people. My distrust of machines would stem from not trusting the people who made them to be doing a 100% solid job. People are flaky as fuck. Like only about half of em ever seem to be paying attention to what they're doing
