Not active and probably agaricus sp. Actives aren't that big, try researching the actives in your area before picking random shrooms or you'll just get frustrated.

It also helps for people to ID them if you say where you found them (country, state?), describe or include a picture of the habitat, ect, ect.

No, definitely not active but possibly quite delicious. With these it's worth noting reactions to cutting (particularly at the base and edges of caps); violent yellowing is indicative of poisonous species that can have you on the toilet for quite some time. Pink gills on younger specimens are also worth noting as well as markings on the membrane/veil between cap and stem. Smell is also important, a lot of poisonous Agaricus have very pronounced chemical smells in that they smell inedible whereas the more edible species can smell of almonds, aniseed or mildly mushroomy. Given the faint yellowing on the cap surface you may have found a Horse mushroom (agaricus arvensis) but it's a bit too difficult to tell from the pictures alone so can't offer more than that.

Thanks very much, very kind of you, actually been reading the threads here for quite a few years now and have been picking for the best part of a decade but have decided to get involved finally.
