Found this Ganoderma today:



I showed pictures of the tree that it was on. I don't know what kind it was, I was hoping someone could tell from the pictures. There were no leaves on the tree, it was basically a tall dead stump. This was found in Southern Ohio.

Gills up in the sun, besides that a low setting in the oven for a few hours would probably suffice.

Here are some more. I am pretty sure the one on the left is G. Sessile. Any idea on the other three? They were on dead trees. They bruise brown on the pores. Would they be good for a tea or do they look too old?
