Dunking/Rolling Questions

A couple of questions here - first is it necessary to dunk and roll right after it comes out the jar? What are the benefits?

Also, what's the difference in just dunking it without the roll?

You should dunk and roll a week after your cakes are fully colonized.  A week after full colonization, birth the cakes and soak them for 24 hours.  After that period, rinse the cakes again and roll in the verm.

The dunk provides the proper moisture for the first flush.

I believe that the verm holds a bit of moisture for the cakes.  Without it, your cakes may not perform as well.

also it is only necessary to roll your cakes in verm just the one time. after your cake is done fruiting and harvested it's first flush you will just have to dunk and not roll in verm. and u dont need to dunk as long after the first flush, only like 12-16 hours.
at least thats how i do it.
