Wild Semilanceata species?
    #22229963 - 09/13/15 04:57 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

These two specimens have been found around a small marshy area in a wild/semi-wild meadow (it doesn't seem that there were any animals grazing on it this year, so there was no cattle dung around, however the grass must have been cut at leats once), Would you guys confirm this as a semilanceata based on the pics?

Looks like a Galerina species to me.

Do not eat! Maybe I am wrong, see what others think.

That area looks good for libs and gallerinas. Had a spot just like it with that moss. It's hard to tell from the photos but they might be libs. Use the macro settings on your camera if you can (looks like a flower option normally) Check for a pellicle, can you peel a layer off that cap? How do they dry? You could even sporeprint them just to be extra sure.

These mushies went dry in one day. I didn't check if I could peel the layer off before they got dry. Spores through a microscope look pink (this color is the closest bet), some are lacking any color, maybe because these are very young specimens, so they are not mature yet. The gill color was in purle range.

So as you can see this is not a typical "purple brown" sporeprint, which is so typical of semilanceata according to many sources. However, nor it is brown, which as I understand a Galerina would give.

Do all Galerinas give a brown spore print?
