Some sort of bolete, possibly butter.

Camera and phone are broken, here's an iffy laptop camera pic.

Habitat:
Found in grass underneath two large live oak trees, in New Orleans.

Gills:
Dark yellow tubes, somewhere between goldenrod and saffron (like a really old NERF ball).  Bruise green, which then turns brown.

Stem:
Thick, about an inch (and up) in diameter.  Yellow/cream stalk.  Smooth.  Burgundy mottled pattern at base.

Cap:
2-3 inches in diameter, about an inch thick.  Top is reddish/orange/tan.  Bumpy and pitted (weathered) but dry and smooth.

Spore print color:
Currently printing, sorry.

Bruising:
Tubes bruise green blue which turns to brown.  Stalk bruises blue grey which turns grey.

Other information:
No strong scent.

Possibly.  Looking up that also led me to the boletus sensibilis, which seems more similar except for the shape of the cap (maybe mine aren't as fully grown as I expected?).

Here's another picture of the tops.
