Third hunt in the same field, time to give up?
    #22228024 - 09/12/15 05:08 PM (8 years, 4 months ago)

So it's my third time back to my field, each time in different weather conditions, always after a rain though. My initial goal was to find some sort of active, but now it's become my personal goal to learn everything I can about what specifically grows in that field. At any rate, I still want an active. Some of these I may have already found, but they caught my eye even more this time, so I brought them home. As usual all found in cow manure, the lighter ones seem to have a blueish black bruising to them and an orange hue, though it doesn't have a veil, second set of pictures. The brown ones I found didn't raise an alarm, but I still want to know what they are. Any other pictures needed just let me know, and I'll be more than happy. Taking spore prints at the moment. Thanks so much guys!

These are definitely Panaeolus cyanescens, which is extortionately psychoactive...
Mushrooms that turn blue like this growing in dung are psychoactive.

The first two pictures are Panaeolus papilionaceus, the rest are Panaeolus cyanescens.

Wow, you guys are awesome, I love you guys. So everything after the second picture is definitely edible and active? Because I will definitely eat these:D. Any precautions with dosing?

Yes, they are active/edible.
They are pretty potent-

Dosage:

    Lvl.1  0.5g
    Lvl.2  0.8g
    Lvl.3  1.5g
    Lvl.4  2.0g
    Lvl.5  2.5g

These are dry weights so multiply by 10 for fresh mushrooms.

I'm not positive that the two smaller ones in the top of this picture are P. cyanescens but if they blue like the other ones do they are.

Lol this may be a bit of a guessing game, I don't own a scale, is dosing all at once optimal? Or can I just increase as I go? I only have experience with acid. A thousand apologies if this thread needs to be moved for going off topic. I really appreciate everyone's help. Nothing but good things to say about all of you.

Yeh just what's on the picture, I didn't see too many, but I may have missed just as many.

I have 10 total, the small two never bled. I actually just pulled a scale out of my ass, I didn't know I had it. Would there be any look a likes similar to these that would bleed black instead of blue?

Should I be worried about black bruising instead of blue? I'm weary of what my eyes are telling me in terms of color.

Why?
There are no toxic Panaeolus species.

Wow I had the most amazing night, I ate all ten mushrooms, it was killer, life changing. I loved it so much I went back out today and I think I found some more, but I need to be sure, are these the same ones? I'm not sure about the bottom row. Thanks again guys
