i was reading some place that some gardeners will separate there buds a lil during drying to keep mold away.
How long did you dry and cure that inocuole. Whats your set-up? I did not know you grew. You should give me some pointers!

Some interesting PE blobs on the first flush. I cased with 1/4 in. jiffy mix, but the mycelium just gnawed through it in 2 days like it was nothing. I patched all exposed mycelium, then fruited. Spawn is 5 Qts of WBS inoculated with agar. Here's to hoping for some lovely specimens on the second flush! I'll make these gnarly dudes into tea.

Do you really want pointers from someone who produced that thing? That was last year anyway, I dried for a few days and I guess I thought the bud was too crunchy so I left it in a jar to redistribute moisture and that happened. I just threw it away. Most of it didn't mold over, just a bud or two.

Im quite pleased with the results given this was spawned from some chunks of colonized wbs coir that i found on the ground and threw in a hole my dog dug for me, raining nearly everyday and cased with lawn clippings they are doing ok

Next time, put those into fruiting right when you case them & you'll get dicks.
