Looks like it's gonna flower. Save the pollen man.

If you collect the pollen, keep it dry and put it in a freezer bag and toss it in the freezer. It will stay good for a year or more.

Hopefully you will get a flower. Someone on another forum has what looks like buds forming under the hairs on theirs. Maybe this year will be the year of the TBMC flowers!

Anything ever happen? Fuzz still on or did they abort/fall? I've read some take 2 years to bloom sometimes.

Wait. Considering it's a TBM, plus is crested, if it flowered for real, it debunks that theory about no flowers on TBM. but it did?

On shaman australis forum PhiloCacti had a TBMC flower but it rotted before blooming. Kada had his form flower buds as well but also rotted before blooming.

It hasnt flowered yet but the fuzz is still there. It's under LED since October 2015 instead of the sun but I think it's aclimated. It seems like all the cactus are flowering under the LEDs right now. Even the Hibiscus cuttings seem to be making it. Here's a picture, sorry about the colors I didn't feel like moving the tbmc out of the water tub and my lights are on.

Yes, a Frailea asteroides or something like that. I feel there are more made up names for Frailea than for any other genus of the Cactaceae... Nice plants, the Frailea. Stay small and have interesting body colours and spines, pity about the flowers refusing to open. I'm sowing a whole tray of Frailea this year.
