I read the article, still not 100% sure how this will change things. Ill have to keep reading. Sometimes I feel more legislation and regulation makes things worse. That "wild west" the article has talked about has been pretty damn awesome here in California.
I'd like to see full scale legalization, none of that regulated/monopolistic bullshit they tried to push through last time around.

This laws also allow the industry to take profits for the first time — an enormous victory. Operators had been going to jail for showing a profit

I thought when the big 'decriminalization' of 1974 was occurring, that we'd have legal weed by 1980. Nancy Reagan fucked that up...& if that twat Hillary Clinton is nominated, lord help us all. I just hope I see Legalization before I kick-off. I'm not a young man anymore & nothing would thrill me more than to be able to stop into the local 7-11 & buy some smoke. I'll believe it when it actually happens & not while the politicos are debating it...as if there's anything to debate. Weed deaths? 0! Alcohol & tobacco deaths? Millions!!

regulation is key to legalization. this is to clean up all the different city imposed rules to get the scene cohesive and they legalization is the next step. it is basically making the bed before they sleep in it.

welcome to business, to get one licensed before hand was similar, honestly so many non legit ones around it is a joke. currently it is a bunch of behind closed doors political bs where if you don't have connections you don't get the ok by local government. grassroots means you can't grow enough to pay for the electricity if you are indoor, this is BIG business, small fries get small returns, who wants to nickle and dime?
the people i know looking to get into the business have 4 million in investors, there will always be street goods though.
