I'd say it is. Where do you live?

Thanks!!
I will try to cultivate it.

1.Are there cactuses that look the same and are poisonous? (in case of a wrong identification) or in worst case it is just not active?

2.Can I consume it as a shake without boiling and straining it? and if so can I eat it with the peel?

Thanks!

Just because its San Pedro doesnt mean it is very active.  You will have to test it, you could end up drinking sludge for nothinng, but you wont know until you try it.  Plenty of info here, just click around.  Nice cactus.

The things that look like Trichos that would be dangerous and poisonous would be Euphorbias.. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. DO NOT INGEST EUPHORBIA. LOL

My husband has told me he will not allow me to have Euphorbias in my collection, because we have pets. My dog attacked and ate some Epiphyllum cactus blades as a puppy. If he tried that with a Euphorbia, he'd be dead.

Here are some Euphorbia Pentagona images from the net. A (layman) may mistake a Euphorbia species for a cacti.
