You can sit however you want in a toilet.  I mean, I wouldn't use the tank as a back rest or anything but... within reason.

A few very small Burma fruits, very dense and fat though!

They were fruited on straw and HPOO, mini monotub design, my guess is that the temps were very low - mostly at the 18 degree Celsius range. I have added a heater to raise the temp to about low twenties for a couple of hours a day. HPOO and straw should produce some meanies, or what? :facepalm3:

Going to be interesting testing these fatties!

Sometimes even when all parameters and variables are in order you can still get a sub par flush due to genetics.

Mist and get ready for your 2nd flush, sometimes they do better in cases like this.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but that's a sign that you could be doing more to give them what they want so they perform better initially.  I get a lot on second flush sometimes, but NEVER more than first(except occasionally with PE varieties uncased, because they blob a bit).  Generally though it means the conditions suck or you're trying to fruit too early.  Are you working with multispore?    That could contribute, but I've never heard anybody say they get more from the second flush USUALLY.  Maybe once in a blue moon, but usually?  That's an issue.

Ah well without agar yeah the results can be like that sometimes.  Definitely just recommend getting a hold of some agar agar powder and then trying different recipes to see which ones work for you.  Easiest in my opinion is 2.5g of agar in half a cup (~120ml) of grain soak water, divide into pp5 containers and PC.

I edited the post but I meant 2.5g of agar agar, just wanted to clarify that since .5 isn't nearly enough.  0.33g of agar goes to a tablespoon(~14-15ml) of water for a single plate though, in case anybody ever needs to know that.

I meant, I remember hearing that the way we sit on a toilet is not the best way for a human to go to the washroom, that squatting is better for the movement.

There's a company that makes a step stool thing to use while on the pot to correct that.

It honestly doesn't feel right not having your feet on the floor to ground you.

Proper defecating posture is more important than P. cubensis strain discussion... lol.

To try and actually add to the discussion, I have a question.

Is it possible to have a noticeable change in potency between flush to flush? Despite taking a mycology course in college and doing a bit of extracurricular reading on the subject, I still find it difficult to understand the genetics and life cycle of Basidiomycota.

I agree, my son's autistic and for some reason he stands on the toilet facing the back and squats. Some doctor said its actually a good way to go to the washroom, I think some places in the east have toilets on the ground where you sit and squat?? I'm old fashion though.lol I like my feet grounded.
Yeah, definitely not the right topic..  Sorry for mentioning it

With multispore, yes, otherwise they're generally similar from flush to flush.
