I would assume that you could run that at 20 psi for an hour and you would be fine. I don't have any experience using that kind of PC though. If I were you I would just swap that one out with a 16qt Presto due to it's relevance here. Search the forums, I'm sure you're not the first person to ask this question.

I meant 23 quart....not 16. Presto 23.

Read my signature 20 psi for 90 minutes is the minimum FOR ME. (I like 2 hours @ 20 psi) and yeah prestos are much better for this hobby.

I've got a very similar one to that. I set it on Roast which sets it for 40mins so I just hit the time button and extend it to an hour coz that's the longest you can have it on for so I usually add another 30mins to make sure all works. 've had cheap PCs and I do happen to prefer them but what I've got works just fine so if yours is like mine and has a enough space just keep with it. I'd recommend the roast setting if yours has one or a setting that takes the longest time, I'm pretty sure the one I've got doesn't get upto 15 psi but it works and that's all that matters.

I appreciate the responses but unfortunately i have to use this one so im going to do 20 psi for 90 minutes my question is during this time when do i open and close this pressure valve because at about 3 mins my pressure cooker was already steaming instead of steaming at the recommended time of 15 mins

I guess... canning..? That's the only option that sounds remotely good.
Who would use a cooker like that to sautee... that takes the joy out of having something sauteed...
