I found a beautiful one today growing on a tree in someone's yard; I took it. I've been finding crusty little gross ones in the woods, this is my first sulphurus find of the year that's edible, beautiful mushroom with a rubbery look and feel!

Nice find! Mine was a little wormy. Nothing a little salt water bath can't handle. I've found a lot in the woods. Most have been eaten away by worms/grubs. They're out there! Keep looking. 'Tis the season!

When i find chicken of the woods in good health, my favorite thing to do is to slice it up like chicken breast, and saute it in butter with onions and veggies + salt and pepper, just enough to where the outside of the mushroom is blackened, then add it to a fresh salad, with boiled eggs or something...its just like adding chicken to a salad, similar texture, taste, etc. GJ!
