What should I do about this second degree burn?

I burnt the ends of my fingers while grilling. The skin is red, is blistering slightly, part of the skin is white, swelling and it hurts.
Pretty sure it's a second degree burn..
Do I need medical attention?
Will my fingers be permanent fucked up?
Is there anything I can do for the pain that doesn't involve drugs?

Ever had a sun burn with blisters? That's a second degree burn. It's going to hurt. Not much you can do. Though you are American. You can probably go to a pain clinic and get mad drugs right about meow

typically dr's will not give pain meds to a burn patient due to the risk of bleeding out.
75% chance you will be ok.

Probably a second degree burn. Third degree typically doesn't involve as much pain because it causes more damage to the nerves (hence an initial dulled response to pain).
If possible, apply silver sulfurdine cream, granted this is typically prescription strength cream. But all an ER would do is silver sulfurdine and maybe hyrdo 7.5's.

I don't have health insurance so id like to avoid going to a doctor. I just am curious if it will heal properly and how to not get it infected.

Didn't know that. Never been burned bad enough to bleed. Had some ridiculous sun burns before though.

It should heal fine. Second degree burns can cause nerve damage though. Cool, not cold, water can be used. I'd try and look for a burn cream at your local pharmacy and just try and keep it loosely wrapped in some gauze maybe.

Put some neosporin or other antibacterial ointment on it and keep it wrapped. If it doesn't improve in 3-4 days or the pain increases, go to a clinic.
Otherwise tough it out

I actually got 7.5's for a 2nd Degree oil burn.
While any burn can become infected, 3rd degree is at a higher which I can see XL Caps point.

I may be a little late, but put your fingers on ice for as long as you can stand it. take them out briefly then return them to the ice. The pain should cease in about 20 mins of that... hope it goes away! You will be fine.

I am sure if it is only blistered at worst and mostly red around. The aloe will be very soothing. The advice for the ice was probably too late. You need to do it right away. But you don't have 3rd degrees and they are on a small part of your body. I've had blistered burns before. They suck and they hurt but other than putting unguents on them there is nothing to be done. The neosporin wasn't a bad idea but I think you are going to get much more relief from the aloe. It really is soothing for shit like that. And then your body will heal it. There isn't really anything other than that a doctor can do. If it was 3rd degree I would say otherwise but from your description it isn't
