How much do you let the plates grow out before your transfer?

Already transferred healthy growth from this plate to clean dishes a few days ago, but keeping this around to see what the contam does. I should have taken a picture a few days ago because the contam was bigger on the left side, I think the mycelium is overtaking it or something.

No this plate was suppose to be tossed a week or so ago.. It been sitting around doing it's thing.. I would normal grab the healthiest or the most rhizo in growth the first few days.. To try and keep any contaminants or bacteria down to a min...But the Myc on that plate sure is giving its all...

This is from a four year old spore syringe labeled Gymnopilus "H-----ii", or something 4 days from inoculation.
Pretty sure this is not mushroom mycelium, but rather some kind of contaminaton. It's a pretty contamination though.

Lost a g2g jar to some sort of mold. Sad to say, this jar was not shaken with its friends.

Anyone know what this contam is? I've been guessing mycogone. The colorful stuff was himalayan salt I tried to stop it's spreading with may be hard to see from the pictures but it's all either brown or white there's no other funky colours. Every now and then the blobs throw metabolites which dry up. I think the tubs are screwed? Any thoughts? Should I continue to try and fruit these or chuck em outside? Had a shoebox tub do a similar thing and stall out, figured it was best to toss outside and when I broke it up in the dirt it was barely colonized.

Spawned bucket tek coir verm 3-1 spawn.
They only smell mushroomy when I mist them.

I'm experiencing something similar in my 2 tubs. Does anyone know what this is?

Here's another, but it's not AS bad

FAE is abundant.

Hard to say with yours, it looks more or less like tometose myc to me but my phones a POS my blobs produces a yellowing liquid through porey like holes on top. If you search mycogone or wet bubble it'll give you a better idea. It very well could be though as I've only seen it this one way though. Maybe different cultures have different reactions
Try reducing water and see if they shrink? My himalayan salt worked to slow it down but not fast enough, the stuff took over within a week

I haven't misted these since putting into fruiting conditions a few days ago. They're producing their own water droplets, so I increased their fresh air exchange.

I am fairly sure it is a response to bacteria.

About 5 days ago there was clear green contamination then it sort of disappeared. Clearly the jar is done for as the mycelium reacted to the contam and got that melted ice cream look. This jar is way more fucked than it appears to be, it was way more gross 5 days ago. I'm sure that the center is straight mold. I anticipate when I open this one to dump it the smell is going to be horribly sour.

This one looked great until it was clear that this one little spot wasn't colonizing. Then it got all melted ice creamy.

Check your jars daily everyone. Even if there are no gross colors doesn't mean something isn't brewing.

Love it. Don't know if trich-resistant but one thing is sure, those genetics are aggressive as hell.
