Will be washing my hands a lot more.. My guess is that yeast from the home brew got on my hands and eventually got on my tray, and the mycelium died from sake

Here's a tub of Nepal Chitwan cubes. Had bacterial blotch on some fruits. I pulled the ones that looked bad and gave it lots of fresh air.

I feel like your fruits look like they have enough fresh air, and your tub doesn't seem too insanely wet either. I've been having the same problem lately and it's wicked annoying. I'm getting gnarly blotch on a decent amount of fruits, without misting, and giving them as much fae as I can. It's making me sad.

bacterial substrate?

That pic doesn't look right to me.  Aside from just the bacterial cap, there is not a lot of weight in that entire tub.  The overall yield looks relatively low, so whatever the issue is, it's affecting the entire tub.

an incredibly gross set of PF cakes; when I birthed them they smelled quite exactly like parmesan cheese. I knew they were gonna be fucky so I stuffed em in a "junk" sgfc in another room and sure enuf bam, hello black pin mold

[edit] kinda tempted to get my endoscope out and get some super close up shots of it for the science but then again I don't want to get black mold spores all over it, hrmm

Sall good they were just a practice run on my first try using LI - I'm fairly sure my mistakes here started when I made the cakes be 2-2-1 verm-brf-water when they're supposed to be 2-1-1 verm-brf-water; thus, too little water (or too much BRF depending on perspective) and so they were too dry during colonization and spent almost 2 months in the jar. Then I stupidly left them in a dunk for over 2 full days (I'm thinking "hey they're dry so they could use it" hah) and when I pulled em out of the dunk the water was frothy, turbid yellow, and stank of parmesan. I figured it was a yeast issue, but as we can see here, black pin mold latched on quite readily.

At the risk of sounding like I'm trying to shift the blame, I suspect this sort of thing will improve once summer hits. I live in a very dry desert climate but it's been raining like it's Seattle for the last like 6 weeks and that wispy matted black-headded mold is pretty much covering every bare spot of dirt outside my house right now. Once the sun drives all the wet out, methinks my mold problems will ease up

I still blame inoculation
Take the endoscope out for science :awesomenod:

Inoculation is certainly the most likely place something went wrong, and it was my first try at making and using munch's LI so basically I'm sure either the LI was fucked or the pouring was fucked, it cant be merely 'there was too little water during colonization', that's a dumb excuse, what am I thinking tryn'a pass the buck on that

[edit] also, though I am a woman, I am also a west coast stoner from the 80's so I totally answer to "dude" "man" and "bro" lol (especially because quite often, especially online, pointing out I'm a chick just gets me PMs begging for tits and/or a million invasive questions because lots of ppl literally do not believe a woman exists online and is interested in w/e hobby they're there for - that said, the onle one here yet who's asked is azur and I think we can all expect that anyway rite, hah.)
