That shit looks crazy. It does look like bruising, I have never seen a single grain jar become bruised like that did they get super cold or something?

the pink stuff can go thru filters, so best to dispose of that asap. it can spread pretty quickly.

I thought it was a contam, could it simply be bruising? It did get a little bit colder in the last few days, maybe from 75 farenheit to 70. The room humidity also went down since the heater was on more often.

Fuck yeah! That's what I'm talking about. Don't give up at the first sight of contamination.
And ymca, if you are still worried I'd just hit up the contam forum. It's pretty active and some smart people can give you some more opinions. Want me to do it for you? lol. Seriously though, the contam forum can put your mind to rest.

if i bought an oyster syringe and it was contaminated, that vendor would be def be hearing from me. thats inexcusable. spores can never be clean, but a fucking LC can, no problem.

2 jars of Mexi cubes on wheat, nocced with agar wedges. Pretty much fully colonized when shit happened. This is from a different batch of wheat than the one I have right now, sterilized for 2 hours at 15 psi. Pay attention and you'll see the sexy pink.
Jar 1:

Jar 2:

I'm leaning towards "Fusarium" or maybe "Aspergillis Faggit" cos of its fagotry and treachery and because it's pink and sucks hairy balls.
These jars are in my basement right now, don't want them near me or my spawn since this pink shit can purportedly pass through filters but I'm a pussy and can't bring myself to trash them because fuck, they were almost done and the pink spots are so tiny (second jar only has one).
More shit... This time yeast on one jar, but it wasn't the grains this time but my careless ass inoculating with a wedge from an agar culture that looked sketchy and kindy bumpy and it also smelled like gym socks.

To the trash as well, right?

the ones that are at or near full colonization might still be good for fruiting out of the jar if you have a secondary fruiting chamber but the ones that are only partially colonized are no good.

i can't say that i'm absolutely sure that fruiting those will yield results but i have seen expert growers recommend this course of action in similar situations. it really depends on what your standards are. if you are the type of grower that likes to fruit anything that might have a shot it 's definitely worth a try. but if you are the type of grower that only wants to work with pristine mycelium that has little question of doing well it's probably not worth it.

It's not about being anal with clean spawn man, bright colored molds are usually dangerous to humans. Fusarium has even been used as a biological weapon I'm just keeping this a little more to see if that shit spreads some more, so far it seems the growth is stalled or very slow.
On the other hand, the one that I might top fruit is the one with yeast.
