and my condolences on your plates, those were some nice cultures.
That was my thoughts, but I honestly have no idea.

got some fruit fly larva growing in this one plate. i had left some no-pour plates in the SAB to dry for a few days and i had failed to notice that on two of them the tape had peeled back a little leaving a small opening. when i came back to them there were little flies buzzing around in them so i put them off to the side and forgot about them. after a few days almost all the flies were dead but there was larva colonizing the agar.

why dont you put your spores to agar.
why are those pics so small. someone asked in your thread to post better pics and you posted the same small/impossible to see pics. need a larger pic.

Anyone know what this is? I noticed it before any myc was even near it. Nothing, then one day BAM brown/green "dust" on uncolonized oats. Seems to be working its way down the jar slowly. I looked through all the contam guides I could find, nothing really looked like this to me.

Possibly. Aspergillus was my first thought after I saw there was a black variety, but the description and pictures said spores give it a grainy texture, I thought this looked more dusty than grainy. I guess that seems like the closest one though. How does it do in a jar of mycelium like this? About 50-60% of the jar is colonized now, just wondering if the Aspergillus will get to the rest of the grains first and overtake the Galindoi, or if there is still a chance for sclerotia production. Obviously gonna keep watching it and find out anyways
