Yeah trich is parasitic, and destroys higher fungi

Well, talking about Trichoderma. I've just spotted a contamination on some of my BRF jars, probably because of a contaminated syringe. It looks like trich, and I guess it's less than a day old. The other jars from the same batch inoculated with a different syringe are fine, but the three inoculated with this syringe all contaminated.

Here are the pictures:

Trich or nah?

it's pan cyan maui actually. the growth that was transferred from had some pretty rhizomorphic features to it though. i hadn't seen that before. my understanding is that the thick, white mycelium is best but i was curious to see how this would continue to grow. got a few other transfers of it so it'll be interesting to see where it goes.

Trich, trich everywhere.
Three out of my four tubs got it. This one is the worst. Interestingly enough I had to pry open three out of four water jars when I used the blenderless LI tek. Coincidence? I think not. What do I dooooo?

I'd toss all the trich and start over and would even go as far as to separate the old good tub from the new ones you make. Just an opinion of mine after having to toss 2 of my runs due to trich.

My unused LC started showing these mycelium encased somethings at the water line, is it mold or bacteria?

use a sanitized butter knife to pop the lids off. its a lot easier than trying to use your fingers. pretty sure i said in the tek to use a tool to open it.

I sterilized the water jars with the last few grain jars cuz I had the room. I think the longer PC cycle might have created a super strong vacuum. I basically melted the seal wedging a kitchen knife I flamed in between the lid and the glass. I should have just started over with the water jars tbh.

I'd say bacteria. Doesn't have the slumped and shattered splitting look that is the real tell tale of Lencacillium fungicola.

by shattered split do you mean a split down the middle of the stem? because the bigger fruit in the first pic is starting to split down from the top. Would any harm come from eating? As always thanks for the response. The trusted cultivators here are an invaluable source of information as well as some of the guys without the tag.

So many rosecombs/hairlips tho, and some bubbling on the 2nd pic. Fuck I need a scope so I can actually figure out their differences, or if they both just happen to have identical reactions. Maybe the guy just has both . I'd say it needs more FAE, and better misting.

Technically all are still edible. I'd still dehydrate them first.

No its more like a banana peeling or a pine cone appearance. Splits in the middle are usually from drastic fluctuations in RH.
